My son, who was working out of state, needed urgent help repairing his glasses. Richard went above and beyond to make the process smooth and stress-free. He asked for photos of the glasses ahead of time to ensure they could be repaired--saving my son a potentially wasted trip. That level of thoughtfulness and professionalism is rare. Not only did Richard confirm the repair was possible, but he also fit my son in as soon as possible to get it done. His customer service was truly outstanding--kind, efficient, and genuinely caring. Richard is PHENOMENAL. I flew in last night wearing contacts and when I reached into my bag this morning to put on my glasses I realized they got crushed in transit. I noticed that a few reviews mentioned Richard fixing glasses on the fly and gave him a call to see what he could do. After sending him a few pictures of the damage, he told me he likely couldn't fix them but he could probably fit my lenses into new frames. I made the call to see if he could help at 3:08 PM and walked out of his office wearing new glasses at 3:55 PM, and most of that time was spent waiting on an uber! It took him less than 10 minutes to get me set up with a new set of frames, he even took my style into consideration and let me choose between the limited options I did have. On top of that, he gave me a discount on the frames! 10 minutes of my time and $91 out of my account for the nicest pair of glasses I've ever owned. If I were local I would never go anywhere else. Thank you so much for helping me in a pinch!

I went to Richard not to purchase glasses, but I was in a jam! My glasses came in via mail. I put them on and the frame separated and the lens popped out. The company said to send them back for them to fix the glasses. Walked over to EYES OF ALAMO CITY, and Richard repaired the glasses for me to including adding a new screw. this place is such a hidden GEM! if you need prescription or sunglasses please come here it is awesome! the owner only carries high quality glasses and because he's an independent store he will give it to you at a great price! I came in for an adjustment on my glasses that i did not purchase from him and he was more than willing to adjust them for me at no cost. Not only that, but he made a perfect fit after the first try! at the very least, please just come check him out!
