Dr. Cohen was able to see me quickly on a Friday, as I was concerned about my eye. He immediately diagnosed it as chalazion, which is a painless bump on the eyelid caused by a blocked oil gland. . Prescribed the right ointment and it was gone very quickly! Thank you, Dr. Cohen!

If I could give 10 stars I would. I had a Metal Shard stuck in My eye and doctor Cohen saved the day. Thank you so much for being such a professional. I cannot recommend more highly.

Dr. Cohen at MCOA had poor bedside manner, wasn't friendly at all to my toddler girl or myself, didn't greet us or answer our greetings in return, and was abrupt with everything. He wasn't rude, per se, but he definitely wasn't kid-friendly by any means. I should've listened to the reviews. I'm receiving a transfer referral to another pediatric specialist.

I took my son to Dr. Cohen twice the summer of '23. The first visit I was shocked at how rude he was to his staff, and felt dismissed after an exam of maybe 5 minutes. He was impatient and rough with my 6 month old son. He did explain thoroughly what he thought my baby had, and I actually shared this information with my colleagues and still do to this day. With that in mind we went back for a second visit with one foot out the door, but willing to give him another chance. He was again, incredibly rude and dismissive. We explained concerns that we had noticed pertaining to his developing vision and he dismissed them all, asking if I had read the handout, then reviewing said handout. Our concerns were stated with this handout in mind, and coming from professional observations. Most concerning however, was during this visit, he answered phone calls and proceeded to confirm a surgery he had scheduled for the next day, complete with identifying name and birthdate, then called the receptionist back and confirmed additional appontments for the next few days, while sitting about a foot from my husband, as he was mid exam. We promptly decided to go to elsewhere and were amazed at the difference. Children's Eye Center of South Texas were so much more thorough and kind. They looked at how he was seeing by using lights and toys he was attracted to, instead of instructing me to hold his head completely straight and pulling at his eyes. Not only did he not have pseudo strabismus, he was so cross eyed that they scheduled surgery for him immediately. I don't often write reviews, but I think about this so often, and his visit still disturbs me, for the above reason, and additional reasons I did not state here. Please, please don't trust him with your babies, it is worth the wait to go to another doctor.

My family had a horrible experience at this office with Dr. Cohen and his staff. It was our first and last visit. We arrived 15 minutes before our appointment time and we're not seen until well over an hour later, only after my 2 year old was fussy due to him being hungry and we asked to be rescheduled. Instead of rescheduling us they told us that Cohen was ready for us, only to put us in another room and make us wait 15 more min. By this time my 2 year old was having a melt down and Dr. Cohen came in, advised my son's father how to hold him in order to check his eyes. When my son didn't calm down, Dr. Cohen snatched his toy away from him and this in turn upset my son's father who then became upset and protective of my son and we left. I called the next day to speak with Melissa, the office manager and she never returned my call. We feel we were discriminated against and treated with no regard. We are a professional family and understand things happen, but it's how misunderstandings are handled that make the difference, and Cohen and his staff have failed to even address this situation. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE AT ALL (I give no stars but in order to post this, the reviewer needs to hit at least one).

Let's see: prescriptions never called in, never getting returned calls trying to get the prescriptions called in, having to drive 45 minutes just to get the prescriptions since nobody would return the calls, then the fact Dr. Cohen is pretty rude, short and seems uncaring... I would recommend another Dr. Ultimately he did help my issue just horrid service. And I wouldn't let my kids near him.

Dr. Cohen was an hour and 45 minutes behind schedule. Our appt time was 2:45 and we weren't seen until 4:30 Being a pediatric doctor you should strive to be on time since your patients don't tolerate sitting in a waiting room for hours upon hours well. Dr. Cohen was rude to my husband and I as well as my 4 yr old son who was with us for my daughters appt. He has a terrible attitude and was extremely rude to his staff. He refused to offer us anything other than surgery and wouldn't explain why the other options wouldn't work. Never returning to this office again!

If I could give him a 0 I would he was rude to my husband and I then rude my daughter. He has a terrible attitude and was especially rude to his staff. On the day of her surgery he was very late the surgery was scheduled for 9am and she didn't go in until almost 11am. A 4 yr old does not care about your excuses for being late you have a schedule for a reason. Being this late is completely unacceptable. After our follow up appointment she will be seeing a new doctor that has a little more respect for his patients and their time.
