Jensen Eye Clinic

Update Here's my story with this joke of a place. I would give zero stars if Google gave the ability to First off I want to say my doctor was nice and that's about it. I have severe strabismus in both eyes since birth so, I know a little about it. I came here due to a referral by Dr Jensen here in San Antonio. I will start off by saying the rest of the staff are complete jerks. The ladies behind the desk act like you are putting them off by having them do their job!! Second, I was greeted by my Dr personally, that was very nice. My eye appointment was pleasant, thorough but, it's wrong. Now, here's the weird part where both clinics totally lost me and helped me make my decision for the poor review. I first went to go see Dr. Jensen for my strabismus and he referred me to a surgeon as he said my case is too bad for a prism lens as they would be too thick. So, he sends me here for an opinion from a surgeon. The surgeon / optometrist Dr said my prescription from Jensen looks fine so, she tried to correct / tweak my vision with a prism 5 refraction rating. OK, I pay my $150, get a script and head back to Dr Jensen's office a few days later to be fitted with new glasses. When I got there, Dr. Jensen took a look at the prescription and said the prism is totally wrong. The children's Eye Center put me in an 5 and he's saying I need over a 13 which is impossible to wear. He also stated that my prism needs to be split between two lenses, half power in one eye and half power in the other eye. Why in the hell did you not tell me this when I was there the first time so I could pass that onto the surgeon or, why did you not put that in my chart so she could read it? And if it was in my chart, why was it not followed or adhered to by the surgeon when fitting me with these glasses being ahe said Dr. Jensen's prescription was so good? And why did Dr. Jensen not read my notes from this dr until after I arrived at his office for my follow up? That's just laziness. He could've seen well advanced that I had a problem and spoke with the surgeon and they could've fixed this problem before I wasted my entire day again coming here for the third freaking time. So it was about a week between my specialist visit at Texas children's Eye Center in Stone Oak and going back to Dr. Jensen's office for my classes follow up and, The two doctors had not even spoken to each other before I got to my follow up appointment with Dr. Jensen. I've got two specialist here working on a very complicated eye case and neither one of them are even talking to each other. Dr Jensen is saying this dr is wrong, she says his is wrong.... I really don't care about that and what you egomaniacs have going on just giving me me my freaking money back!!! I've spent about $600 out of pocket of my own money going back-and-forth between these two places and I still do not have a valid prescription. I will be requesting a full refund from both of these places or they will be hearing from my attorney because this is bullshit. I paid for services at both clinics and I have failed to receive an in product yet!!! I still cannot see, I am having trouble still with headaches. I cannot drive and, none of you can even get a prescription right after a month!!! It's like none of you even care and only want my money What did I pay for??? Because now, I have a whole lot of nothing for my money. Stay away!!! Run away as fast as you can!! Dr Jensen am his staff were amazing. I have a very complicated prescription and he knocked it out of the park. He also placed me in contact with another specialist surgeon whom was amazing also. Dr Jensen will be my eye Dr moving forward. Thanks for being awesome.

I wish I had read the reviews before I went. The office is dirty. I was the only patient there, so you would think they would have time to clean, but obviously they don't care enough to do that. People have been complaining about the cleanliness for months based on the reviews, but the office does not care to address this. The doctor is nice and super friendly (polar opposite of the receptionist Scott), but that doesn't make up for the dirty floors and equipment. Dr Jensen frequently coughed in the air without covering his mouth, which was also very off-putting. The 'splash guard' shield in front of the eye machine looked like it had never been wiped down. Go elsewhere!

Dr. Jensen is great, love his manner, and enjoy his services. Highly recommend him and his great assistant Scott.

There was a thick layer of dust covering every surface in this office. The instruments used were also filthy. The doctor was nice, but I have never experienced a medical facility in such unsanitary conditions.

I have been going to Jensen Eye for years. Dr Jensen and Scott are the best. They are very helpful and always get me in quickly and handle everything for me with insurance. I get personal service.

I've never had a more thorough and clear explanation of my eye exam/options for glasses and contacts. It's rare that i felt confident that I got good care at eye exams in the past, but these guys were fantastic. Both the doctor and optician were very friendly and informative. I'm excited for my new glasses and contacts to come in!

I have been coming here for the past 4 years and have never had a bad experience. Scott and Dr. Jensen are always friendly, quick and efficient. The office is always quiet and clean too!
