The staff here are amazing and very friendly.
Dr. Emil Fadel is absolutely the best. He made sure to fully explain everything in simple terms and answer any questions I had. I went into the office with some complications with my contact lenses and he went above and beyond to help me out. He even called me a few hours after the visit to check up and make sure there were no further complications. I absolutely recommend this location.
After multiple visits to different eye care offices, this was the first optometrist who truly took the time to be thorough and attentive. He noticed that I may have a retina hole, something that had been missed elsewhere and explained everything clearly and professionally. I felt genuinely listened to and cared for. The level of attention and expertise made a huge difference for me. I'm very grateful and highly recommend this optometrist.
Thank you for a peaceful visit today ; as new clients. We updated to new eye frames & lenses. As a military family ; we moved and endured. So, grateful to our new Optometrist, Emil Fadel, O.D. & Optician; Sernia, along with the front staff team Allison, Alyssa, Abcde, ( sp?). Relieved to have the most concurrent eye-prescription written for our son and myself, now. It was professional visit and a great experience. Very Much appreciated, The Reyes, family.
I had a great experience at this optometrist's office in San Antonio. Dr. Lauren Alexander is absolutely wonderful--she's patient, attentive, and really takes the time to explain everything clearly. Her assistant, Allyssa, is just as fantastic. Both of them are incredibly considerate and caring, and they make the whole visit feel comfortable and easy.
On top of being super helpful, they're also fun to talk to, which makes the appointment feel a lot less like a chore. Overall, I couldn't ask for a better team. Highly recommend!
BEAUTIFUL office and such amazing welcoming staff! Joann the assistant was super knowledgeable and created a warm welcoming environment. The opticians offered to play dress up with me and we tried on soo many fun glasses! Love this place! They are extremely respectful and very knowledgeable! I have never had an office explain things so easily to me at every stop!
I normally never leave a negative comment but I strongly believe this was needed. I want express my disappointment regarding the service I experienced during my visit this store.
We went to the store because there was an issue with my sons new glasses--they were causing strain his eyes and affecting his vision. While I was explaining the situation to the staff, I was rudely interrupted by a salesperson who insisted on speaking only to my son. Despite our efforts to communicate the issue as concerned parents, she continued to dismiss us and treated us with a lack of respect. To clarify, front office and doctors always have been professional and helpful. This experience was specifically with a sales lady.
I understand that my is now "newly" legal adult, but, he is still young and learning how to navigate these types of situations, and he may require support from his parents at times. Furthermore, I was the one who paid for the glasses and picked them up myself without my son being present. If the policy is to speak only to him, then I question why I was allowed to collect his glasses without any identification? Or why am I allowed to make and modify appointments for him?
The salesperson's attitude and lack of professionalism were not only unnecessary but also unacceptable, especially considering that we were addressing an issue with a product that affects my son's safety.
Additionally, I had to take time out of a busy day full of work and school obligations to return to the store repeatedly due to ongoing issues. Instead of receiving an apology or assurance that the situation would be resolved, we were met with unhelpfulness and dismissiveness.
To make matters worse, my son received the wrong prescription, resulting in incorrect glasses. He drove around and went to school for two days with wrong prescription. When we approached the attendant regarding his concerns, she shockingly tried to convince my son that it was merely an "adjustment period," despite having no medical background. After he communicated his inability to see far and that his eyes were hurting, we requested to speak with the doctor, yet she continued to ignore me. Eventually, I spoke with the doctor, who confirmed that the prescription was not just slightly wrong but contained major discrepancies, necessitating a re-examination and a new prescription with another lengthy wait time.
At no point did anyone apologize for the inconvenience or the risk to my son's safety. I emphasized my concerns about my son being without glasses and asked for expedited service, receiving only a cold "okay" in response.
Now, after receiving the second set of lenses, my son still cannot see properly so they have gave us 2nd wrong prescription and lenses. This ongoing situation is incredibly disappointing, and after weeks of dealing with two incorrect prescriptions and lenses, I am left feeling that my son's safety has been compromised multiple times.Overall, this has been the worst experience ever. The poor customer service, excessively long wait for lenses, and complete lack of decency have led me to decide that I will no longer be doing business with this place. I am extremely disappointed and would like to ensure other parents are aware of the potential unprofessional treatment at your establishment.
I have been a customer with Lauren Alexander and Dr. Emil Fadel since 2025. Based on my internet footprint, I rarely write review unless they are needed. I assure you this one is.
Upon our arrival to Texas, a very hesitant and reluctant move, we needed to establish doctors for my wife and I. I typically look to support as local as possible, bypassing national chains if I can. I found Lauren Alexander with my insurance company and after doing some research on the doctor and the location I knew this was the place for me.
Initially attracted by the aura online, I had minimal hope for the place looking the way it does in the pictures. BOY, was I wrong. Dr. Fadel and staff "walk the walk" when it comes to energy and ambiance. My initial physical steps into the office felt inviting and the office staffwas warm, eager to help and VERY POSITIVE.
I loved it and still do.
My wife and I both got to see Dr. Emil Fadel, and I will tell you what:
HE IS FANTASTIC, a doctor and man that really knows his stuff, he can explain what is happening in your eyes in such simple terms, putting you at ease.
Dr. Fadel speaks to you with care and understanding, when other doctors I have encountered are rude and arrogant and can be condescending.
Dr. Fadel not only cares, but has a true passion for what he does, he genuinely loves his patients and you can tell he approaches everything with humility, grace and heart full of gratitude.
You won't go wrong with choosing Lauren Alexander Vision for all your vision needs.
I see him not only for my eyesight, needing glasses, but as a diabetic needing diabetic eye exams.
I especially love how I was able to get all of my glasses taken care of locally.
Stop in and give them a high five, bring your positive vibes and get your eyes checked. You will thank me later.
