Dr Fidel was amazing. He treated me like family. Very thoughtful and thorough. Explained everything and made me feel so comfortable. Highly recommend. You have to see him.
I have been coming to them for years. My husband also started coming here after his first visit where he understood why I followed them from the La Cantera location. They're customer service is on point. Everyone of them, from the time you arrive make you feel at home. They are very helpful from insurance information to selection of frames. Dr. Fadel is the best. He makes you feel so comfortable. He so patient and explains everything in detail. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my eyes. Lauren Alexander Vision Source is the best place for everything from your eye exam to contacts to glasses.
I had an amazing experience at Vision Source in San Antonio thanks to Aniyah, Mayra, and Atalia! These ladies went above and beyond--helping me find exactly the glasses I was looking for and treating me like the best thing since sliced bread. Their energy is unmatched, their honesty is refreshing, and they made the entire visit enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend this incredible team!
Dr. Trinh is a consummate professional. She communicates very well ! As a dentist for 25 yrs., I know how important that this communication is relative to successful patient treatment.

Vision Source is the place to visit if you need an eye examination and live in the San Antonio area. The new facility is nice and the staff is friendly and courteous. Dr. Talia Tunstill is the best optometrist I've ever worked with.
Originally resisted the urge to give a 1-star review immediately after my experience there. Instead gave 3 stars with the opportunity to make up for the drastic change in service levels from their humble office at North Star Mall, to this new seemingly beautiful office with all the bells and whistles much farther north of town. Sadly, though more than a month was given since my appointment, they made up for nothing.
Their location? Terribly inconvenient for previous North Star patients, especially those coming in from south of town. Not much choice though if you're wanting to go to an office with your past 8 years of records. Service was strange to inconsiderate. The entire time I was there, I felt like their respect was just a bit off. I'm in my mid-thirties but very much felt like I was spoken to the same way you might speak to someone elderly. I'd have let this slide on the service side, but when the doctor told me they didn't have my contact prescription for the trials that came with my appointment cost, I let her know the office was very inconvenient for me to get to and asked if they could then be mailed to me. She responded with a smile telling me she thought they could do that for me and she would let them know at the front. At the front, they didn't seem to know about an exchange with the doctor, and said they could mail them to me for an additional $20. I don't know about you, but after you pay hundreds of dollars for your appointment, and more for 6 months worth of contacts, being asked for an additional $20 for something that should come standard with your exam just seems a bit much. Especially when the previous office at North Star always offered to mail things free of charge, and I always insisted then that it was just as easy from me to come from work and pick up there. Rarely if ever took them up on their kind mailing offers.
Folks at the desk could tell I wasn't happy, but gave me that innocent deer in the headlights look that told me they weren't about to find a solution and just needed to know if I wanted to spend that money on the trials, to which I answered honestly, "no". A week later I get a call from their medical assistant (Natalia I believe) letting me know my trials had come in. Thinking more clearly after my visit, and realizing two little trial contacts fit very well in a standard envelope and could be mailed with two stamps costing less than $1, I ask if they will do this for me. After some exchange, Natalia verified the first part of my home address and said they would do it for me this one time.
It has been over 3 weeks since that call, and 18 USPS business days (17 if you take out the freeze). Neither the trials nor the pre-purchased 6-months of contacts have arrived. If these were mailed as discussed even days later after our call, they'd have arrived by now. Do I have the time, patience, or desire to deal with this facility again? Really, I do not. Just need my contacts and hopefully to find a new office to have them transfer my records to for the future.

I found a frames I liked, but it was discontinued. Marc searched other Vision Source stores for it. He found it and had it shipped to the Pond Hill store so I could take a look at it. Ultimately through some trial and error, and some honesty from the staff, I found another frame I liked better.
I really appreciated the communications and the super helpful staff that willing to work with me to find what I liked. Thank you!
