Exceptional Medical Eye Care at San Antonio Eye Center If you are looking for specialized eye care in San Antonio, I cannot recommend Dr. George S. Reyna and the team at San Antonio Eye Center enough. My recent visit was a masterclass in how a medical practice should be run. The Experience From the front desk to the clinical staff, the service was very friendly and genuinely amazing. It is rare to find a medical office that maintains such a welcoming and helpful atmosphere, but they truly go above and beyond for their patients. Efficiency & Expertise I was bracing for a long wait, as is common with specialists, but the process was very quick and highly organized. Dr. Reyna is clearly an expert in his field; he moved through the exam with precision while ensuring every concern I had was addressed. Informative & Educational What I appreciated most was how informative and educational the appointment was. Dr. Reyna took the time to explain the clinical details of my eye health in a way that was easy to understand. I left the office feeling confident in my care plan and much more knowledgeable about the anatomy of the eye and the specific treatments we discussed. Summary Dr. George S. Reyna provides top-tier medical eye care with a personal touch. This was my first appointment at the San Antonio Eye Center. My previous Optometrist for 6 years retired last year. I was looking for a group of eye specialists who could provide the same excellent care. I was not disappointed. All of the staff at the San Antonio Eye Center were outstanding. The Optometrist, Dr. Pessoa, was very professional and knowledgable. He took extra time to assure my visual and retinal exams were thorough and well documented before I left. Thank you for taking good care of me.

The reason for the 1 star rating is as follows . My appointment was at 3pm feb 16 2026. I arrived at 230pm , checked in and by 315 pm my eyes were dialated. I was inforrmed that Dr. Winters would see me in 15 minutes.. He arrived at 5pm to see me and that visit lasted 15 minutes. He walked me to the waiting room and stated someone would be with me in 15 minutes. The room was empty and I waited another 10 minutes for the prescription. The receptionist was in hurry to leave for the day. The onsite optometrist office was already closed. My issue is as follows. I was on time for my appointment. I waited for approximately 1/2 hours before the dr arrived. I was never informed of the reason for the delay. It would appear that customer service and communication is greatly lacking as I was never informed or kept abreast for this long delay. Had someone kept me informed after the initial 15 minute delay , I would have been more understanding. This did not happen. Once I was seen and in the waiting room, now the tables were turned in that the receptionist now wanted to leave , thereby lacking in customer service. I waited patiently for 1 1/2 hours and no customer service. This was not a pleasant visit and wonder how many times this occurs on a daily basis. I would suspect and correct me if I'm wrong, but money seems to be the inherent motivating factor . Thank you for your time

Thanks for being there staff did awesome very attentive make you feel like everyone's family lots of smiles.Just if I could pay in pancakes.

I was very pleased with Dr Reyna. He listened to everything I said and immediately put me at ease. He took the time to explain everything to me in terms I understood, without talking down to me. I would definitely recommend Dr Reyna if you have eye related issues

Dr. Carlos Pessoa at San Antonio Eye Center was an exceptional eye doctor. He thoroughly examined my wife's and my eyes, providing one of the best examinations I've ever had. Since he speaks Portuguese, he was able to communicate effectively with my wife, ensuring she fully understood the findings. I highly recommend Dr. Pessoa; you won't be disappointed. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Jay Isteitiya at San Antonio Eye Center. He was very kind, professional, and extremely accurate in his evaluation. Dr. Isteitiya took the time to explain everything in clear detail, answered all my questions patiently, and made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the visit. I truly appreciated his care and attention. Highly recommended.

Dr. Stevenson is very thorough & not only actively listens to the patient, but offers probable reasons for symptoms in addition to treatment options that are unique/ desirable. With a full patient load & working several locations, she maximizes every moment of each visit to create a comfortable and comprehensive experience leaving behind a trusting doctor- patient rapport.
