I am happy to be one of the patients of Dr. Scott. His staff and the Dr. himself were very welcoming and cordial. Although I had to wait for sometime, because of a number of patients, and quite a few were disabled. I saw their happy faces after the visit no matter what the reasons were! It gave me satisfaction to see so many patients visiting him as I was fairly new, thinking that I choose a doctor who must be a good doctor to attract so many customers. I liked his amiable and respectful nature. - Dib
My husband and I started seeing Dr Bean at SAEC at Stone Oak about a year ago. The way in which he uses his knowledge, skill, and bedside manner is welcoming and easy to understand.
The first procedure was for my husband. We are well pleased with it and subsequent appointments. The results have been more satisfactory than we expected.
Today, I saw Dr Bean for the same procedure and my experience is, thus far, more than I dare hope for.
In addition, from check in to check out, all staff either my husband or myself received has been efficient, friendly and kind.
Who wants to go to another doctor's appointment? I would so not me; but, these experiences were different... in a good way!!
The service once started was great! Love the people and the interaction. My problem is the advance and pre-service that could use some improvement.
Got several and repeated computer calls about scheduling but every time I answered it was a voice mail to callback. On callback always got a queue that was never answered - always on hold. They offered their website to schedule appointments but when on the website it is a search to find the appointment scheduler. And then it was easier!
However, on checking in on my assigned my appointment (15 min early) there was a line of seven people in front. I finally checked in at 1:48 for my 1:45 appointment. Waited for 40 min before actually starting my diagnostics. When that finally started things were great! Actual great service. It is that front end service that was off-putting!
You were great. Your office sucks. I had to wait 30 min. just to check in. The lady at the registration desk and a patient were arguing back and forth because it was taking to long. By talking with other patients and their appointment times were only 5 min apart. The landscapers came by three times and blew leaves and dirt into the registration area. First girl that did my exam was great. Very nice but we were already an hour behind. Waited in a second waiting room for the doctor. Eyes were dilated but the girl said you do not offer the reversing drops like my wife's Ophthalmologist. Your check out girl no. Nothing about insurance. First time in 40 years of going to an ophthalmologist that I had to pay to get my prescription. Again, the doc and the first girl were great. The overall experience was very subpar. Will not be back.
My experience at San Antonio Eye Center yesterday was most certainly worthwhile. Dr. Hernandez was focused on ensuring that my eye health needs were identified and addressed. By way of a thorough examination followed by providing me clear information, I felt confidence and safety. I left with a clear understanding about both the present status & comfort in returning for any level of follow up care. Included in supporting my eye exam was Miguel, a care assistant to whom I also want to offer special thanks. Both kindness & care are always appreciated. Dr. Hernandez and his staff were excellent! Thank you sir. BgWms
I visited Dr. Corina Chapa at San Antonio Eye Center last week for a routine eye exam, and I can honestly say it was one of the best eye care experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, the entire staff was friendly and efficient, but Dr. Chapa truly stood out.
She took the time to listen carefully to my concerns (I've had some minor vision fluctuations lately), explained everything clearly without rushing, and performed a thorough exam that included checking for things like glaucoma and diabetic eye issues even though I didn't have specific symptoms--she's clearly very detail-oriented and proactive.
Her explanations were easy to understand, and she gave practical advice on eye health and lens options that actually made sense for my lifestyle.
Dr. Chapa has a warm, professional demeanor that puts you at ease right away. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and stays up-to-date on the latest in optometry. If you're in the San Antonio area looking for an optometrist who combines expertise with real compassion, I highly recommend Dr. Chapa--hands down worth every star!

Highly recommend!
Dr. Hernandez was very kind and thorough. He's was not the most personable person, meeting for the first time, and the office wait was over an hour, but I expected that with it being my first visit to his clinic. Everyone was very kind and helpful, and I appreciate all the advice and information Dr.Hernandez gave me about my future eye care. I'm very pleased.
Dr. Chapa and the staff at the Stone Oak location were great! This was my first visit and my appointment was for a routine eye exam. I am retired military with Tricare insurance and there were no issues with insurance coverage. I felt that everyone was courteous and the exam was sufficient. I received a prescription for some minor corrections that I can get filled at any optical shop and did not feel pressured into any particular one. I feel comfortable returning here for my next appointment or any issues that come up.
