The office at 811 Brooklyn Ave has a very horrible service. We had to wait more than two hours to see the doctor, and Dr. Gawain Dyer wasn't very friendly either. The woman at the retina clinic reception desk was very unfriendly, and on top of everything, they get angry when you ask about the status of your appointment. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC. I won't be returning here. I pay a lot of money for my health insurance, and I'd rather find another place where I'm appreciated and treated better.

Unorganized office with unprofessional providers and staff.
I was a patient of Dr. Barrett for a couple of years, until my insurance changed and I had to find another practice. Nothing could have been more a blessing; Dr. Barrett has a very poor bedside manner and the staff at the Brooklyn location are crass, sarcastic, not friendly and definitely not respectful of my time. Melissa coordinates benefits and is slow to return calls, if she does so at all. The best thing they've done for me was quickly sending over medical records to my new provider at UT Health. Don't see a doctor here or take your parents here unless you don't mind being treated badly.

"I recently had a procedure with PA Kip, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was incredibly patient and compassionate. She took the time to explain the entire procedure in detail, answered every single one of my questions without making me feel rushed, and eased all my anxiety.

Is there less than one star?We actually never saw the doctor. As usual, the wait was literally hours long even though our appt was for 8:45am. This is a terrible disrespect of our time and we weren't the only ones in the office waiting that long. When I asked the front desk why after so Many years scheduling is still an issue she said "it's just always been like this". And when I asked "and that is acceptable"? She said "well Dr Dyer Is a specialist and he likes to take his time with each patient. I explained to her that I take my mom to many specialists and I never wait this long. At most I wait 15 minutes because they account for this kind of one on one attention. We left without seeing the doctor. It's unacceptable to disrespect people's time like this to think that they have that kind of time on their hands because most of your patients are Medicare is gross negligence.

Dr Dyer is so very nice and easy to work with. He explains complex problems and shows real concern. His office staff is amazing. Linda at the front could successfully command a brigade of soldiers. So organized and still delightful to deal with. Kudos to you all!

Wanting to find out if I had a cataract. It was confirmed. The nurse numbing me and asking questions was very polite. Dr. Dyer very good and direct pretty much in and out. Always have to wait some but not to long. I like Dr. Dyer.
