South Mall Optical

I called on a weekday to make appointment on a Saturday. I was told they took walk ins. So we walk in on a Saturday at 9am when there is no one in the store not one single customer. There was two ladies behind the counter. Then they told me that I miss the walkins by 10 mins. I waited outside for like 30 mins as I was making an appointment with Stanton Optical. No one showed up in there in that amount of time. It was three of us. So this place missed out on over $4000 which my insurance paid mostly of that. If I could do less stars I would.

Been going here for years. I'm finally changing. You can't really make appointments because there's not really any available. You can only walk in on Saturdays at 9:00 where they only take the first 15. I walked in one Saturday about 7 till 9:00 and they said they were full. Must be nice to only work once a week, part-time off government cheese/ Medicaid. This place could be really busy if the right people ran it too bad.

I been going here since dad was the Dr, now his kiddos are taking over and the staff is always super nice and helpful

My daughter & I have been going to this place for years.. the ladies have always been so helpful & nice when my glasses aren't fitting right I walk in & let them know & they right away fix them for me. & They have a good selection of different types of glasses colorful, black, clear, square, round, oval, we've had them all the pics are just a few.. Mr. Alvarado has always been so helpful & nice. So sad to see such negative reviews.

Majority of staff is rude and don't seem to have patience. The few times I have come it always the older lady's that are polite and patient. The younger ones seem to not enjoy their jobs. For my younger son tell me himself the ladies are rude while getting services. Don't have alot of options but it work for now since they take my children medicaid.

As soon as I walked i was not greeted or felt welcomed. All 4 people behind the desk didn't seem to want to help me. When I did speak up one woman finally asked what I needed. After asking for pricing (lenses starting at $120!) She very rudly adivised me on where the kids glasses where. After looking at a pathetic over priced selection I left. Horrible service, horrible price and horrible selection. Fyi Wal Mart had way better selection and lenses starting at $49 transitions at $79. Although the ladies at the Wal Mart on south military are also rude to be honest. I'm not affiliated with Wal Mart but as a mother of 4 I'm looking for the best deals.

Great customer service in and out in 10 minutes literally and glances were received within 30 minutes after purchase

Staff is very nice and helpful I have Vsp insurance and they spent about 30 minutes explaining what I could get, how much it would cost, options costs and were very friendly. And that's even when they knew I wasn't going to get the exam and glasses then. Additionally, I have taken my 4 kids to these doctors since they were in Kindergarten.. they have always been nice and patient with my kids. They don't have a huge selection, but that's fine with me and my kids. I'm not spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of frames that look just like the budget ones.
