Great customer service, Vanessa always has treated us with kindness. We have been patients of Dr. Flores for 5 years now, he is very professional and knows his profession. The place and equipment is out dated but that is a corporate problem to solve not the doctor's or staff. The quality and the selection of frames could be better. The wait time and examine process is excellent as well as the completion of your new glasses. For me the best thing about TSO is they accommodate to your schedule and they accept so many different insurance. They are inside Ingram mall which is off NW Loop 410 and Ingram Rd. I recommend you give TSO a chance. Update 9/28/22 Another great visit, I love the staff they are very attentive and professional. They are located upstairs right top corner where Sears used to be above where Lubys used to be. Will be relocating soon which will be amazing. Update 01/23/25 I have been a patient at TSO with Dr. Flores for ten years now. I will never go anywhere else. They provide excellent care and the choices of glasses are great. My favorite thing about the office is the staff they are wonderful.

I wanted to utilize my benefits to go ahead and get an eye exam. I was told that the eye exam would be covered at a co-pay cost with my insurance. Stated I wanted to get contacts. They replied we can definitely do that. After everything was said and done and pupils dilated. I was shocked with the cost of the contact exam. Was advised that the exam is $100 -10% discount due to my health insurance. If I was told this upfront of all cost, I would have not done it. So I had to pay a co-pay for the regular eye exam and pay the discounted rate of $90 for the contact exam. I don't like being surprised with extra cost. I had to ask for a contact case. They don't provide them usually. They did not provide solution. Basically just a cookie cutter eye exam location. Will never return.

I love this eye doctor. They are amazing and very professional. Melissa and Vanessa always help me out and explain everything that is covered with my insurance . I have been a patient for years . Dr.Flores is great !!!!!

I have been going to TSO for 10 years and i love the experience and the new location i would recommend TSO i absolutely love it i love all the ladies there, they are so friendly, the greet you when you walk in !

I've been coming here for at least 5 years now, the doctor is such a kind man, asks me how I'm doing while giving my eye exam, but even though it may seem like small talk, he is really listening to you. Even a year later (even on my second visit, when I had only met him once before a year prior) he remembers what I told him the previous year when we only met for maybe 15-20 minutes per year. He really cares about his patients health and life. His staff is always helpful and kind as well, and I've never had a problem, they are diligent and provide a great service. By the way they talk with each other, you can tell there is mutual respect in the office, which is a comfortable setting.

I've had the worst experience with Carlos Flores, the optometrist at TSO at Ingram park mall. I had an eye exam for both contacts and glasses. Usually when I get an eye exam, the Dr will take time to make sure I'm able to see clearly by the end, but the exam felt rushed and it seemed like he could care less about finding the right Rx. That same day, I purchased glasses at a different place with the Rx he gave me. The next day I noticed that I could not see clear through my contacts and because of that I was getting headaches. I then called TSO for a follow up appointment. I had the follow up and it didn't help at all. The Rx was still wrong and again felt rushed. I picked up my new glasses after the follow up appointment and could not see clearly with them. I had to request my old Rx from my other Dr which was from 2 years ago to show TSO that the Rx that Flores gave me was completely off. And on top of everything, he never came out from the back to actually speak to me about the situation. He just had his front desk person talk to me. It came to the point where I was so dissatisfied with the quality of service and could not work with this optometrist so I requested a refund. I never have anything bad to say about my Dr's but this Dr is definitely not worth your money. If you're looking for a new optometrist, this is not the place to go.

Had the WORST experience at this place. Went in for new glasses as well as my prescription for both contacts and glasses. The doctor asked if I still had contacts at home and as I replied yes he gave me a new pair to try on, only to find out it was the exact same prescription as my eyesight didn't change but was then charged a "fitting fee" for the same contacts I have boxes of at home. Fast forward to when I show up to pick up my glasses, my dirty frames are thrown in to a case that is too small with nothing to wipe the lens with. Maybe it's just me but I've never purchased a pair of frames without the correct case along with a cleaning cloth for the lens. When asked about the case the lady swore it was the correct case my Nike frames came in, yet no matter how I positioned the glasses my frames kept the case from closing. Makes no sense. Stay away from Texas State Optical at Ingram Mall!

If i could give a negative rating I would. My son took home a pair of trial contacts to try and we were not able to keep his appointment for the check up due to me being chronically ill, disabled, and having a very rough patch with my health. I called and was told no problem when I could reschedule to call and have him wear his glasses in the meantime. So I call to reschedule and they tell me they would have to charge for a whole new visit because it has been more than 3 months. Yet my insurance was already billed for the exam. On top of all this my son can't see out of the trial pair because like everyone else says all they do is RUSH RUSH RUSH so the care suffers. So this is a health provider yet they don't care if you are healthy as long as they get there money you can be blind no biggie. My son only needs to see for school. Money hungry!!!
