Dr. Starck is great and so is all his staff..he did my cataract surgery one eye on a Thursday and the second one the following Thursday...the surgery only took about 15 minutes and there really wasn't any pain, it just felt a little uncomfortable..I never realized how bad my cataracts were until after the surgery when everything looks brighter and sharper..It looks like i won't need glasses anymore but maybe some cheaters for fine print.. I wish I could have done this year's ago but I didn't have the kind of insurance I have now...Medicare and my supplemental insurance covered the surgery..I'm very thankful to Dr. Starck and all his staff especially Arturo who handles the finance and insurance part, he was super helpful in explaining the various procedures...now I can wear the nice sunglasses I had bought a long time ago and only got to wear them briefly before I needed glasses.. thanks for everything guys, ya'll are the best and I already recommend a couple friends.. hope they go see you also.. it's like Eddie Murphy said in that movie Trading Places: I CAN SEE!!!

Outstanding! Dr Starck has helped me with complex eye care issues for 20+ years and he is truly the best! Very grateful for all he has done!

I got my glasses prescription and bought a pair of glasses based off of what they said and my glasses are beyond strong. I cannot wear them for even a few seconds without getting dizzy. They are twice as strong as my prescription from last year (different doctor office). I am now out on my glasses allowance and my eye exam allowance through my insurance. I will have to pay for another one to fix this issue. I even went back to see what happened and they made my glasses stronger! My contacts are -1.5 and -1.0 they are perfect. My glasses they prescribed it as -2.25 and -2.0 double the prescription of my contacts!? Pointless to go back and get it fixed for a third time my vision might get worse.

Recently went to the Southside location as a new patient for a routine eye exam and I saw Dr Valera. When arriving I was not greeted or acknowledged, after standing at check in for a minute while another patient was being helped I was rudely told to sign in and in the same breath was asked for my ID. I looked up and asked if she was talking to me since she was helping someone else, she stated yes and rolled her eyes. I was then called back by a technician who didn't introduce herself , she took me back and immediately started doing tests. After that we went to a room and the technician started to do my eye tests and the refraction for my prescription. I continuously told her I couldn't see clearly as she moved the lenses and she just continued. Since I didn't know who she was I asked if she was the doctor she said no and laughed. I was confused why a technician would be doing this part, especially since I have previous experience in this field. After getting my eyes dilated because I couldn't get seen without it, they refused to see me unless I got it done the doctor calls me back checks the health of the back of my eyes and then gives me a prescription and walks away. I informed the doctor that I couldn't see with what the technician did she said it's ok I adjusted it a bit. I am confused and concerned that my prescription will not be correct because she never refracted my eyes herself. I would not recommend nor will I be going back.

Nice staff and convenient location with convenient Saturday hours . However, they no longer have the eye mapping equipment on the premises and had to get my eyes dilated the old fashioned way. Just because we're on the south side doesn't mean we won't pay for conveniences. To add to it, I was referred back for further testing at the main location because again, they don't have the equipment required at that location.

UNETHICAL AND SHADY practices. Automated text messages and scheduling appointments only to have a disclaimer that they will charge you a rescheduling fee for missing an appointment YOU DID NOT SETUP. Anything to bring in revenue. I wouldn't bother going to a place like this with this type of unethical behavior and please don't let them get your cell phone number. The last time I visited this place was four years ago. I have never scheduled an appointment.

My experience with Dr. Stark and his staff has been wonderful. I chose the symphony lens is to replace my cataracts And I could not be happier. I now have 2020 vision in both eyesAnd would recommend Dr. Stark to anyone who needs a surgery. He's the best!
