A couple of years ago, they made my Rx glasses with progressive lenses when I emphasized that I needed a single vision for distance. I requested a replacement and picked it up two weeks later, but the lenses were still uncomfortable to look through. I was told it would take time to adjust, but I have worn glasses all my life and know immediately when something isn't right. Went to a different optometrist, who said my replacement glasses are +0.5 stronger than my prescription; no wonder I always experienced discomfort wearing these glasses. I don't expect this kind of service when buying a $1500 pair of Prada glasses. Then I ordered a different pair of cheap reading glasses, and the frame sat loose, causing the glasses to fall in my nose. I adjusted them at a different optometry. Also, one of the doctors I wanted to see there twice was never available, and they kept substituting him with different doctors from the same location. I would give it two stars only because of the variety of frames and the friendly staff, but I won't be back.

Dr. Zapata was AMAZING as always. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and really cares about her patients. Every time I've gone to see her she explains everything so well. I have been to other eye doctors, and she is the only one who has helped with my eye issue. After one day, it started feeling better. If you're looking for a kind, intelligent and doctor with a great personality Dr. Z is your doctor!!!! 10/10 would recommend her!!!! Also, the receptionist and lady who took me back were both really sweet as well. I will be returning, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience with this doctor and her team!

This place is wonderful. The staff, the atmosphere, the care, the selections of Eyewear and decor I truly enjoyed my visit here.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Vision Source Broadway location and I'd like to share my positive review: From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff members were attentive, professional, and made me feel welcomed. The waiting area was clean, comfortable, and well-organized which helped create a calming environment. During my examination, Dr Fair was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. She took the time to listen to my concerns, answer all of my questions, and explain each step of the process. Her expertise and professionalism were evident, and I felt confident that I was receiving top-notch care. Dr Fair utilized advanced technology and equipment, which enhanced the accuracy of the examination and allowed for a comprehensive assessment of my eye health. This attention to detail, combined with her excellent communication skills, made me feel like I was in good hands throughout the entire appointment. In addition to Dr. Fair's excellent eye care, I also had a positive experience with the billing receptionist at the office. She went above and beyond by informing me about my contact lens rebate, which allowed me to save money. Her proactive approach in providing this information was greatly appreciated and further enhanced my overall experience at the eye doctor's office. Overall, my experience at the eye doctor's office was outstanding. The combination of a friendly and welcoming environment, expert care, and a wide range of eyewear options made me feel valued as a patient. I highly recommend this office to anyone in need of professional eye care and a great overall experience.

Make sure the staff cleans equipment before and after your use, unless you want to risk an eye infection. Verify with staff that the advanced eye imaging is covered by your insurance before they sit you down and start imaging without even explaining what's going on. Deceptive practice from an unsanitary practice. Also, staff should be wearing a mask if they're visibly sick and coughing a consistent wet cough. Gloves would be great if you intend to touch a patient's eye... The actual doc was nice.

Vision Source Alamo Heights has been my go to place for about 3 years now, they are just simply the best when it comes to eye care. You walk in and right away feel the welcome. When I scheduled my first appointment with Dr. Anna McKinney I had no idea how much it would change my life when I left their office. She is just wonderful at what she does and a very knowledgeable doctor that is very compassionate. I left that office and was finally able to see! it felt so good! the nurses are so kind and helpful as well. The sales ladies are just wonderful also and were very patient in helping me find my perfect pair. I highly recommend this office, they do not disappoint !

Not a fan. Went here after my doc retired. Two pairs of (expensive) glasses later and i am looking for new doc. The prescription was so bad, I developed headaches and neck pain (that miraculously disappeared when I put my old glasses back on). Their optometry shop is a joke, absolutely no help in finding the right shape, size, fit. I finally went back to my old practice, saw a new doc and voila! New glasses that I can see through and no headaches! I give vision source two stars for friendliness.
