I will never go here again. I went to a location in Austin & was very satisfied so I tried the location in Fort Worth. They told me they accept my insurance. I go to my appointment & at the end they tell me I can only get glasses & not contacts. My insurance covers contacts too but they could not explain why they accepted my insurance for everything but contacts. The lady took forever & never apologized for the inconvenience of me not being able to get glasses and not being able to explain it. I walked away without any contacts. I have tried to order contacts online through another company that accepts my insurance. During this process I found out that they prescribed me a contact that is only available at their office which is likely why my insurance wouldn't cover it. Yet they never said that. The Optometrist would not approve my claim because it was not the same contacts. He only prescribed me daily contacts lenses which I did not want. It is also ridiculous expensive and I don't need daily contacts. I tried to get monthly contact lenses that I have used before and he denied this claim. Because of this my insurance benefits were WASTED & I did not get any contacts at all for the year !!!! I'm beyond mad. I have never had such a bad experience at an Optometrist. Like I said, I will never go here again. I do not understand how the reviews are so good, especially based on the lack of customer service.

Last summer I had my exam and was given contacts for the first time. I had YouTube teach me how to pop them in and out, as the "class" they offered was useless to me. Someone sat and watched me while I struggled to get them in and out of my eyes. I purchased an 8-month supply to have on hand that day. I just ordered another box only to realize they gave me the wrong strength on my entire order and they should have been stronger all that time. This would explain why I thought they didn't work as well as I hoped. I asked for my written prescription, but didn't get it, and I think that's by design so they could sell me their glasses. The doctor was fine, however, the staff is questionable. When dealing with someone's vision, the staff needs to be more accurate in double checking their work. ETA 11.19.2025 I went to the Watauga location off Denton Hwy in TX. 76148 My exam was in October of 2024. Turns out that the female doctor at this location wasn't that great either. She had prescribed me my first set of contacts to wear. I would still be required to use both my contacts and glasses to read. I wasn't given options nor did I even know that dual focus lenses existed. So I took my one option presented until the following yearly exam time. Fast forward to 2025 with a new optometrist and a new company. I just learned I can wear contacts without glasses at all... who knew!?!? Not only that major development but my new optometrist gave me a whole 3 different options we could work to see what types of lenses I could best utilize. The purpose of my update is to inform others of this company's mediocre service and support to its customers. Consumers have much better options in both doctors and support staff out there.

Hudson at the Watauga location was Super friendly all the way from me scheduling my appointment on the phone, from walking out the door after my visit. His customer's service skills are by far the best i've seen in the long time Thank you, Hudson!

Waited several weeks to get my glasses. They didn't even bother calling me when they came in. Finally, I called and they had them. Went to pick them up and told the lady that they were not right. She told me to wear them a couple of weeks and then come back. I was driving on my way home and could not even see to drive. I immediately went back and they checked the glasses and realized that they were single vision lenses instead of the progressive lenses I ordered. They blamed the lab and then they thought I should opt to wait another several weeks to get my glasses and acted as if it was not a big deal. This is they second America's Best that I have had issues at. The customer service is deplorable and honestly they didn't seem to care that I was unhappy with the situation. I did get a refund, but now I am having to shop around to find new glasses that I desperately need.

I had an outstanding experience with Shelia and her team today. After encountering issues at a different location, Shelia made the process of ordering my new contact lenses and glasses incredibly smooth. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured all my questions were answered. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the entire visit pleasant. I was in and out in under 20 minutes, which was very impressive. I highly recommend visiting this location for your eyewear needs!

Everything went very well until we got to the choosing of glasses. The sales person whom helped me was very confusing and the pricing seemed suspect. She first of course gave me the more expensive option, which was ridiculously high. Almost $500 for one pair. When I went to just near basic, single vision glasses, and less bells and whistles, it should have been cheaper, but it was close to the original quote. She tells me, "well with that price, you should just go with the expensive pair since there is only a little difference. Being in sales myself, I've padded estimates only for jobs I really didn't want to do. So, I get it in some small way. All it did was make me shut down and just go with the lesser options because I didn't feel like being price gauged and I just wanted to leave. I'll go back but to my original store or for the cheap eye exam and buy my glasses online.when I got home, I compared pricing online and with the more options and features, was almost $200 dollars less. It was and expensive lesson. My suggestion...don't make it so obvious you're price gauging your customer. It's not good for customer service.
