I had to go get my glasses prescription for my son & I today! The service since we enter the front door everyone was very nice polite! The doctor all did an amazing job! He explained to me and my son what the issue was with his eye sight and gave us the best options!! I would defenitly reccomend this place to family and friends!!

This is the only place I go to for exams and getting glasses. I've been coming here for about 5 years if not more. The optometrist is wonderful, and extremely knowledgeable. He puts you at ease and explains everything. He doesn't rush you thru the exam. He has patience and a wonderful personality. He is just awesome; fabulous. The manager Kristine is fabulous. She's is a sweetheart, always a smile on her face and always eager to help you. Did I say patient. She is incredibly patient. I may go in 5 times to get my glasses adjusted, she has never become frustrated. She definitely is an asset there. There are 2 other ladies that are extremely helpful and always pleasant. To be greeted sincerely and with pleasure is extremely rare. Vision City in Watauga is the place you should visit for eye exams, glasses, contacts etc. There's a no pressure to gain a sale. They're by far the #1 Vision office/store in DFW. Go by and check it out for yourself.

During this calendar year, my father came up three times to collect his glasses and they were closed twice and the other time the computer system crashed. He received a voicemail that his glasses would be ready the first week of July but at no point did they indicate they would be closed the entire week for the holidays. He's beyond frustrated since he has an upcoming DMV appointment to renew his license. We recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I had a wonderful experience at the office! Dr. Valamides is the best eye doctor I've ever been too, he got me seeing the best I ever have. The office is clean and smells really good, and they also have a huge variety of glasses to choose from. I can't recommend this place enough!!

Came in excited to find a new pair of glasses. There was non existent customer service, the person up front was not even interested in my business or from my insurance either. Dr was not in as well, so nothing could be done. Since the Dr wasn't there, the lady upfront suggested that I look for glasses with no prescription, like sunglasses she said. Lol. Wow. Don't come here, go somewhere that a business is happy to have you and want your hard earned money.

The Doctor is amazing and the ladies too.. Except for one of the girls, I don't know her name but she's very pushy and rude because she just pushes too hard for you to get extra stuff added to the orders. I've been here 2 consecutive years and she has the same behavior it's so uncomfortable. My husband got mad and annoyed by her this last time that he went with one of our sons, from now on he just let's me do the talking. But I'm not letting her change my perspective with the rest of the staff and the doctor. I was happy to get a different girl our 3rd time.

2025 Review: I had to post a new review in response to another review that I just happened to come across regarding some allegations of racism for Dr. Jonathan Valamides. I am black and have been coming to Dr. Valamides for several years now. Not once has he or any of his staff given the slightest hint of prejudice against me based on my ethnicity. In fact, I have felt completely comfortable in his office at ALL TIMES. There is plenty of medical data to support that certain genetic backgrounds show slightly higher susceptibility to certain diseases, and I appreciate his erring on the side of caution to ensure that I have the best eyesight I can for as long as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Valamides and his staff. I come once every 12 - 18 months for contacts, glasses, visual field check and a thorough optic nerve exam. 2015 Review: I just had my first visit yesterday, December 16, 2015 and it was pleasant, efficient and thorough. I believe the tech on hand was Kristine (sp?) and I saw Dr Taing for an exam for contact and glasses. Both staff members were very friendly and went out of there way to make sure I was well taken care of. I normally like to do comparison price shopping for glasses, but I was so impressed with the service that I just bought a pair right there on the spot. Kristine was extremely patient with me was I must have tried on pair after pair to find just the right shape and fit for my face. Dr. Taing was very thorough in his exam and sent me home with two different sets of trial lenses to make sure we get the prescription just right. I will be returning to Vision City for years to come!

My wife and I were both seen by Dr. V and we both were impressed by his attention to detail and our visit was much more than just an eye exam. I had not ever worn anything other than single lens glasses. Dr. V and his team helped me get a set of Varilux lenses that I love. He took the time to diagnose my unusual vision issues and Christine was always kind and courteous to us. Best Optometrist I've ever been to, I would recommend him to anyone. You'll be glad you did.
