Best service I have ever had in my life! They were very thorough, polite, and professional yet friendly and welcoming. Doctor read the chart ahead of time instead of asking the same questions all over again, which is rarely the case in most places I have been to (and I have been to a lot of clinics and hospitals of all sorts), he also showed concern and seemed to care... Just great manners altogether. All of the staff was helpful and seemed experienced, knowledgeable, and understanding. I don't have a single complaint. Place is visibly clean and odorless. No strong perfumes, air fresheners, or anything like that to hide smells, it's simply clean. They were also very quick to see me, no waiting past the time of my appointment.

The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about insurance and even offered to help with the selection of glasses. And the Dr. was fantastic! He made my special needs Grandson feel comfortable and explained everything to him. In fact, I liked the atmosphere and good vibes so much, I scheduled myself an appointment as well.

Please do not take your children here. The lady in the back is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I've had nothing but ill encounters with this place. They want to act better than everyone. They also seem like they want to confuse you into spending more by asking very vague questions. The doctor also seems cocky saying things like, "Do you see that. I know you do." Mid eye exam answering for you. That isn't even all of it.

Did my exam here! Left lense was too strong! So had to come back! I asked about the glasses in the glass case infront of the counter, the young girl said I think they are real gold they are pretty expensive! I said I see they are nice! The Mexican lady gave me a ugly look and said yeah in the 1,000's.. I turned around to set down and she started whispering something to the other girl. She then about 5 minutes later came through the door and called my name,she just stared at me and didn't say anything I asked her if she was OK, she then spoke and said yes!!!! I was put in a room,then she came back and said we normally don't allow drinks in her unless you just have to have it, I said yes I'm on a new medication and it drys my throat out!!! "My drink is in a very sealed Stanley cup" she just stood at the door staring at me!!! So I ignored her!!! The first time I came for my exam she was rude while I looked at the frame that's the reason I took them to get filled at Wal-Mart because of her rudeness!!! I don't know why she thinks she's better then anyone else, but I can almost bet she comes from low income level!!! Treating people like this ruins Maplewood eye cares business and gives them a bad name!!! Little did she know if I wanted to I could have pulled out a couple of thousand dollars in her face!!! The lady that checked my eyes was very nice....There is also a black lady that is very hateful that works there,I could have sworen that Maplewood eye care belonged to her!!!!! 08/28/2024 Appointment time 1:15 Brenda Flores I WILL NOT BE BACK TO THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS!!

Had an appointment today. My vision was good before the appointment. My eyes are very sensitive to flashing lights. They dilated my eyes and flashed lights in my eyes. After I left the appointment I had to stop and pull over on side of the road because my eyes had gotten very blurry. I am very upset because I had to call someone and pay them gas money just for coming to help me get home and to drive my vehicle home. I didn't want to go to this appointment. BUT my doctor wanted to do a diabetic eye exam.

This clinic is quite an embarrassment. I waited a month for the appointment. Upon arrival, we had to wait 90 minutes before being slightly addressed. My daughter's appointment was at 3:00; by 4:30, I was pretty angry. They said they had many other patients being seen at the same time. The room was empty and no one left during the time we were present. They close at 5:00, so unless they were keeping patients captive overnight I find it hard to believe they scheduled so many patients with such needs that they'd be back for over 2 hours. When I asked to confirm our time because I felt the wait time was absurd I was told yes it was 3:00, but since she's a new patient... and the receptionist trailed off. When we were finally taken back, the technician had misplaced the paperwork and had to leave to find it. He apologized but again had to leave because he didn't have the necessary equipment. They may say they "take their time to be thorough" but it feels like a general lack of respect for customer's time, patients in general, and overall lack of professionalism.

I can't say enough about Maplewood EyeCare. Every single time that we have been there the staff has gone above and beyond to help and provide service that is extremely hard to get many other places. Matt, you have no idea how much we appreciate you for all you do, you sir must have a heart of gold and we owe you big for going out of your way more than once for us! We drive over 2 hours to see Dr Gunnell for our vision needs and can't even imagine going somewhere else, not to mention he is by far one of the greatest doctors I've ever seen with kids! Thank you, all of you for having servant hearts, your work, your kindness, and your quality of care is exactly how it should be everywhere!

This the best eye care facility I've used since I started having trouble with my eye sight. They will take extremely good care of you and yours, and give you tests for your eyes that I've never been given before to keep ahead of future issues that might arise! They are also extremely very nice and polite and unlike a lot of medical offices, they don't mind having a laugh with you while there. So go have a good time while keeping your vision taken care of!
