Best Opticians around. I've been to lots of other High Street Opticians and they weren't good at all and never got my prescription right, then I found G.T. Harvey and have never looked back. They are absolute experts and get the prescription right every time. I have 2 different prescriptions for each eye so not easy and they go the extra mile to make sure each eye is spot on, fantastic. Every single member of staff is super friendly too and give great help and advice. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Absolute salt of the earth...
So during a recent visit I had course to need an optician who could assist in repairing my ray bans.. The nose rubber had fallen off, leaving a sharp metal thing rubbing... The usual suspects were NO Good indeed Boots and others wouldn't touch them because I hadn't bought them from them, which I found helpful..
Anyhow after a few hours in a Saturday morning I may add.. and I know I should have had my spares as I just know trust me... anyway this lovely Lady with the duck tattoo (ask to see it, it's AMAZING!!) anyway she was willing to help me and the BEST bit she didn't even charge me a dime.... So PROPS to these people... They obviously stand on to Serve their customer and I have no doubt they will look after YOU too, just like they did with me...
Remember to ask to see the Duck ;) ;)

Excellent service, we always get full attention and I feel I'm a valued customer. Stuart is an incredible optometrist and super friendly. He diagnosed a rare eye condition in my husband's eye at an early stage. Emma is always very lovely, helpful and we just simply love her personalty. Everyone is very friendly and doing a great job. We would definitely recommend this place.

I recommend GT Harvey for both adults and kids... my young children and I go for eye checks with Stuart. He is friendly, professional, extremely experienced, reassuring, great with kids (they actually look forward to optician trips!) and takes time to do all the relevant checks and get the most accurate prescription. I still keep him as our family optician despite the fact I now live 200+miles away ; I coordinate optician appointments with Stuart to fit with visiting family back in Newcastle.

I've been a patient of the practice since I was young under the previous owners. I've never had any problems booking appointments and feel my whole health and wellbeing, not just my eye health is always considered at every point. I recently had to be referred to Newcastle Eye Hospital and my care is continuing through both services, successfully.
