Child and Family Eye Care Center

A friend told me about Dr. Cole, Ms. Lesa and the vision therapy process - I had no idea if this was what my daughter needed but I thought I would have her evaluated because I was worried about her reading abilities. She seriously struggled with reading and avoided it as much as she could. After the evaluation I was in tears because Dr. Cole clearly showed me that there were major disconnects between her brain and her eyes. Six months of weekly therapy and homework later, my daughter is reading Harry Potter on her own, has restarted piano lessons and is thriving. From where she was at the beginning to where she is now is like night and day. It has been absolutely incredible. I had no idea something like this was even possible - had I taken her to an educational specialist I'm sure she would have been labeled dyslexic or had some kind of learning disability, but it was her eyes not being able to track and work correctly. And now, they do!! Absolutely incredible. The office staff were amazing. Ms. Lesa (the one who does all the therapy sessions) is an absolute Texas gem - so helpful and kind and encouraging. We loved meeting with her every week! Thank you for changing my daughter's life!!

My daughter went through the 6 month eye therapy program at Child and family eye care! Lisa was so great to work with. She is so kind and patient and has a warm, inviting presence! She made a not-so-fun weekly appointment enjoyable! My daughter loved her prizes that she got weekly and more importantly, she has gained strength in her left eye which has improved her academics by 100%! Dr. Cole was thorough and always answers my questions well! Would definitely recommend

We had great success helping our son with his crossed eyes. He ended up avoiding surgery because of vision therapy. Dr Cole and Lisa were great to work with!

Vision Therapy with Ms.Lisa has been life changing for my son. His ability to access/perceive information has dramatically improved. What I thought was an attention span problem was actually a vision issue! I'm so glad Dr.Cole caught it and that we followed through with therapy. My child always left the office happy and confident and this speaks to Ms.Lisa's ability to implement the therapy in a way that stretches but doesn't overwhelm the child! She is so kind, patient, and supportive. My child really responded well to her, he felt important to her. We are both sad we don't get to see her weekly anymore.

We have loved going to Child and Family eye care center the last few months! Dr. Cole is kind and does a good job explaining things. The vision therapist was so kind and helpful to my son as he went to vision therapy each week. He now reads faster and at a much higher level compared to a few months ago. My son has been doing eye therapy for the last 5 months and has made AMAZING progress! He has especially loved working with Mrs. Lisa, the vision therapist. She is incredibly supportive and professional and makes each therapy visit fun and challenging. If you have the opportunity to have your child evaluated by Dr. Cole and Lisa ends up being your vision therapist you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

My son did vision therapy with Lisa and it was a great experience! We were referred by his teacher, she thought he might be having trouble tracking things on the page. We saw significant improvement in his reading and math, it turns out his eyes needed a bit of strengthening to be able to do what they needed to do. I highly recommend seeing if vision therapy might help you or your child!
