Standard Optical - Logan Eye Doctor

I ordered contacts in January. Every time I went in they assured me that it wouldn't be long. I stopped by the location today and there's a sign on the door that they're closed. No number to call. No other information. Another person stopped while I was there with the same story, ordered contacts months ago and was told soon. She had stopped there a couple weeks ago and they were open. Neither of us had gotten any communication that it had closed. I will be contacting my insurance and my card company. Shame on Standard Optical corporate for such poor service.

Horrible Experience! Two and a half months ago I went in there to get prescription safety glasses. They told me it was going to take between 8 to 12 weeks. I called them at the end of December, to see if they were maybe done early. They told me I should be able to get my contacts within the first or second week of January. I just got a text message today saying that they had problems with their lab. Plus, they had an unknown ETA of when they would be done. I called them back and canceled my order and had my money refunded. Thanks for wasting 2 1/2 months of my time. I hope your squalled little shop closes down and you all have to find jobs somewhere else. I will never do business with any standard optical again as long as I live!

0 stars. Got pregnant had a baby and still don't have a contacts prescription. I've been calling every few weeks, every month and nothing. "Your prescription is different and we're still waiting for the trials". So over it. Loved standard optical for the doctor but don't care for the service anymore. I've called and asked if I could get my 60$ for the contacts prescription back and they've said no because the contacts are ordered and "being shipped". What a joke. Taking this L and making sure to vocalize how trash their service has become and is. Go to Americas best or EyeMart. In fact, anywhere in the valley will work with you a whole lot faster! Standard optical is not it.

I am not one to ever leave bad reviews and I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered contacts with them June of 2023 and I was told they were switching suppliers so it may be an extra month or two to get the order which was fine. Needless to say I never got my order and I called every 2 months or so with no solid answer. Now you are unable to get ahold of them at all and this location closed. They took people's money and gave no refunds. Disappointed.

Do not go here for more than a prescription. The staff is pleasant and the trial contacts are great. It's been 5 months waiting to get my order for new contacts in. Went in yesterday. They don't have any trial contacts left. After asking about the delay I was informed it is unknown when the order would be filled.

Due to extenuating circumstances needed a cheap pair of glasses for only a couple weeks. Told the glasses technician my situation and they hooked me up with a super cheap set of frames and basic lenses. After paying, the technician hesitantly told me that because of my prescription the glasses wouldn't arrive for two weeks, which had I known from the beginning when I told him my situation, would have made me at least look elsewhere. They were able to push the order through to get them to the store in a week, so I was able to use them for a week. Overall the customer service was decent, and I got a pretty good deal on a pair of glasses.

We ordered glasses from Standard Optical back in October. It took two months, then the prescription always wrong. We went in again, but they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They changed the prescription slightly and had them re-made, but after three months they claim they are still at the lab waiting to be made. We will never go here again.

I will start this review by saying that if you need Lasik or PRK surgeries, this is the place to go. However, I am leaving a one-star review after I went to get new lens replacements for my Ray-Ban glasses after one popped out. This is normally my go-to place to have glasses repaired. When I asked for the new replacements they told me the cost would be approximately $250, for one pair of lenses, not the frames. They then told me that it would be $160 approximately if I ran it through insurance. When, I had them changed from prescription lenses to regular sunglasses after PRK it only cost me $80 and some change to have the lens work done. I told them the price they were asking was ridiculous and they did not seem to care. They tried to explain to me that it was because of the g15 color that I desired and the anti-reflective and anti-scratch coatings with polarizing that caused the difference in price. I then went to look it up on Google and found fuse lenses online. They offered all of the same coatings and polarization with the g15 color for my frames specifically. I ordered the pair of lenses for about $60. I have now received those lenses in the mail and have placed them in my sunglasses. They are the exact same tint of green and gray as the g15 and are just slightly darker. If you need lens replacements for your glasses, do not have them repaired here or at least take a look online and see if you can find your frame number at fuse lenses because standard optical is asking a premium price for a product that does not command it.
