Wolcott Optical

I bought a pair of progressive lens glasses from Costco about two years ago. When I got them, I had trouble getting both eyes to be in proper focus. One eye was in good focus, or the other eye, but not both at the same head orientation. Costco was very good about trying to fix the problem. They made adjustments twice, and even re-made the glasses twice, at no exra charge. But they were never right. After recently getting a new glasses prescription, I asked my ophthalmologist what he recommended, given my previous experience. He said I might just need to go to a higher quality optical shop, and he recommended Wolcott. I thought about the decision for some time, because the glasses were about 3X the cost of the Costco glasses. I picked up my new Wolcott glasses yesterday. They are finally doing what I expected them to do. Both eyes work together, in focus, at various distances. Way to go, Wolcott! Both Larry and Jasmine were very good to work with, helping me to get a very happy result. My only disappointment (and the reason for only 4 stars) occurred the same day I picked up and paid for the glasses. By odd coincidence, I happened to get a 20% discount coupon from Wolcott in the mail. It's up to Wolcott, of course, whether they might have allowed me to use that discount after I had paid for my glasses only a few hours before, on that same day. They told me they were sorry not to be able to do that. That would have been a very nice gesture on their part, rather than ending my otherwise very positive experience with Wolcott with a bit of a disappointment. If that coupon had come a day earlier, I might have saved over $100. Having said that, I look forward to enjoying my new glasses!

This review is completely unsolicited. I was highly frustrated with my current optical shop. My ophthalmologist recommended Wolcott and I am grateful. Wolcott is the real deal. Professionalism, service, selection and quality. Go with confidence.

Wolcott Optical has been our provider for eye glasses and eye glass services since 1964. We would not even consider going anywhere else. The professional staff is the best there is, always putting the customer and customer service above everything else. This place is amazing. My dog chewed my glasses and broke the lens. Within two days they had them replaced in time for me to leave town for Christmas. They are so friendly and accommodating. I can't speak more highly of Wolcott optical.

Skip the big box stores and national chains. If you want courteous and professional service with quality performance, go to Wolcott Optical. They filled my new prescription with my current frames, which I did not want to give up. My ophthalmologist recommended them and she was spot on. Very attentive and helpful staff! Wolcott has given my family AMAZING customer service all 3 times we've gone in! My husband, my daughter and myself, all on separate occasions, have gone in with our bent glasses frames (purchased elsewhere) and they have fixed them absolutely insisting on not charging us. Larry has been incredibly helpful, friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Thank you Larry! We will go back to their store this weekend to investigate purchasing glasses.
