Costco Vision Center

I needed to order contacts in person for a unique insurance reason. I was expecting to spend some time working through my insurance with the optical agent. Kris was training an employee while helping me and efficiently directing other customers to available agents for service. I was in and out a lot faster than I was anticipating which was great.

Murray Costco optical I find one of the best places to get your optical care done. They have a large selection of glasses. The staff is extremely nice and when something doesn't work out for your glasses or contacts, they redo it for free everybody in their staff is it so nice they don't downgrade you. They treat you really kind, but I got a special shout out for Kianna The odds of you getting her to help you it's extremely high. She's really knows her job the ins and outs of it and she's fast and efficient and extremely nice. So I'd highly recommend Costco optical center.

Optometrist was great. Optical department was unorganized; asked me to take a number then proceeded to help customers without numbers while I waited. Small selection of glasses. When I was helped, the woman was helpful and friendly.

I had my eyes examined and wanted to order a pair of glasses while I was here. Nope, didn't happen! A clerk named Erik seemed very busy, including at least two other customers waiting for him. There were 3 other workers there, so I asked one for help picking out a frame. I waited a bit, but she was busy talking with another clerk about outside matters. The third female clerk? She was sitting on top of the counter where they fit your glasses, sneezing, and wiping her nose with her bare hand! Nope! The scariest part was, she seemed to be in charge, using pen and paper to possibly be inventorying some of the frames? I left, and will not be purchasing frames or anything else here! I thought about complaining, but to whom?

Erica was awesome! She was so attentive to my partner and I as we looked for glasses and asked questions. She was thorough in explaining the different lenses and we appreciated how kind she was.

Totally messed up on the numbers when I asked for copy my prescription for my glasses. I had headaches for the last 2.5 years b/c of the lack of care .Was told that the problem was the glasses but they messed up measurement by 10mm. Not even an apology for their screw up or an offer to replace the glasses Also tried to push me into more expensive contact brand, One that I had said I tried and had problems with before.

The optometrist was very good but the the counter customer service is terrible. I was interested into trying different frames and when I asked a staff member to see some displays he just placed them over the counter and started talking to the next person in line. Never asked if I liked a particular frame or how it felt on my face. I had to keep asking to see different frames. Due to this experience will very likely not purchase any prescription frames or lenses at Costco.

I've got several vision problems. I've tried different doctors from time to time, and in general, the correction scripts haven't been very good. They blame it on everything except themselves. Dr. Cherland is one of the best I've been too. She gets her scripts right, does good exams, knows what she is doing and treats everyone well. I've gone to her for the past several years, and I don't plan on going anywhere else. The staff in the office changes frequently so I ignore the issues there because in the end the only thing that really counts is getting the right script.
