Moran Eye Center

I had surgery 3 weeks ago on both upper eyelids plus a cyst removal on the left eyelid. The right lid looks fantastic.... But the left lid where the cyst was has been a terrible experience. I've experienced scratching, pain and redness in the eye. I've raised my concerns with 2 providers and I feel like my concerns were dismissed. I finally was seen and two doctors could not find what was irritating the eye. Today I was seen in the after hours facility and a third doctor found a stitch on the inside of the eyelid and removed it. This should not have taken three weeks to hopefully resolve. I have waited up to two hours in the waiting room for my appointment and the provider can only give you 5-10 minutes of time. Before you use Moran, get a second opinion. I'm updating this post because I'm having a hard time getting billing problems resolved. Moran billed my secondary insurance first and obviously did not get paid. They finally billed my primary insurance and got paid. They have not sent the proper EOB to my secondary payer and now are threatening to send me to collections. I've spoken to 7 employees in billing and can't get this resolved. HELP!

Dr. Katz and his team is really professional and coordinated so well. I felt rushed a little bit but I also understand that the clinic has other appointments too. I still do not have all the answers about my eye condition. But my experience was very positive! Kelsy and Anne at the reception have really helped me a lot in scheduling appointments. Love you all.

Dr David Meyer.. you gave me hope. For a long time and I mean years I thought and felt I was no where near hope for good vision. You were patient and did EVERYTHING you could to help me. Given my circumstances, you went above and beyond and got me help. Because of you, I can see. I have never been able to see like this and I am sooooo grateful. My eyes are messed between 2 different surgeries. You gave me hope. You changed my life in so many ways. If anyone who really needs help, I REALLY recommend Dr David Meyers. He wants to help you and will do anything to help you. He gave me hope. I'm in love with my contacts and very much protective over them because of the joy I have. I can see things I've dreamed of seeing in real life. Dr David Meyer THANK YOU!!

I was looking for a place that takes u of u insurance and went to go look at reviews for their eye center- my god, I will never go here. Eye damage from negligence, rude interaction, brushing off of medical concerns, incorrect prescription and unreasonable time duration to amend their mistakes. Not even just customers, but workers (who I will always believe). Are you not in the medical field? Rise up or get a new HR manager. Man- Even if it's convenient, how hard is it to give standard care and reasonable tone? You guys really need to fix how you do things, or you'll never get new patients with the feedback everyone has.

I went for a consultation and was billed over $800 for a very brief, simple consult. This was after no one was able to give me a good estimate for a consult on the phone prior to my visit, though they did say it shouldn't be more than $200. Avoid this place. Nothing is transparent and they will bill you at the maximum for anything they are able to bill. It's incredible. I will never go back.

Awesome, except that as Medicaid recipient they said I could get my subscription filled down stairs but the eye center here refused to do so. Guy said only people under 20 and pregnant women can have Medicaid glasses. Hostile tone and not even a price option offered.

Dr n. Is the best he is very professional and does fantastic work. Well the entire staff do a wonderful job. People i see are mad about wait times. Well I find that not true I have been here several times and never waited long at all. They explain everything in detail and answer every question I had.

I'm so disappointed in Moran Eye Center. I had experienced severe eye pain for over a year, and no specialists knew what the issue was. I was encouraged to visit Moran, and I was hopeful for their expertise and relief. After several visits (and bills), I was repeatedly told that I simply have common dry eye. I was told to take fish oil, put ointment in my eyes every night and tape my eyes closed when I sleep. What they described never felt right. I finally found a local cornea specialist who listened and recognized my symptoms. It turns out that my corneas were detaching and sloughing off, causing extreme pain and irritation. After surgery, I am finally able to see again and pain free. How Moran jumped to the conclusion of dry eye after repeated visits is beyond me. I'm grateful for professionals who listen and search for solutions rather than just a paycheck.
