I am a paying member, and this is a SCAM!!!! Prove me wrong Opticare! Stay away from these guys! Just try calling them right now, I bet you do not get ahold of anyone. No reps, no way to contact, and option 1 will take you to a message machine (no call back after weeks) and option 2 takes you to another company! Look at their website, it won't allow you to open a form to be reimbursed. Do not do business with these guys.

I have been paying through my employer all year, I try and use the services and the Opticians office AND myself can not get ahold of anyone. Opticare requires pre authorization for contacts, and no one can get ahold of them to get that! I am in the same city as they are, so maybe they will answer a knock at their door?

I had Opticare and in my area the only place they approved to cover was Berkley Eye Center. I go to get my exam, contacts, and glasses. Everything was going good, they approved the insurance to cover most the cost. Well a few months later I have now recieved a bill to pay for the part Berkley was supposed to pay. The did not pay their part and now I am held liable to pay the bill. I will never recommend Opticare and definetly will no longer be a customer.

I didn't want to resort to writing a bad review, but I can't get in contact with anyone at Opticare so I'm hoping this will get someone's attention. We recently signed up for Opticare through my husband's new job and were never sent our cards or any benefit information. I have called, left voicemails, and reached out through the question box on their website and haven't heard anything back. It seems like many others have had this experience as well. I wish I had realized that this insurance plan was through a different company when we signed up. Hopefully someone will read these reviews before signing up for Opticare and save themselves the headache.

I received (finally - after months of no response)a reimbursement check from these jokers for some glasses I bought for my daughter. I deposited it and a week later the bank returned it. Of course, no one at this place answers the phone when I call. I hope they get investigated because it's ridiculous that a check from an insurance company won't clear the bank!

this place wasn't very close to our house but they had a terrific special going on so I went to this Standard Optical to get an eye exam and glasses. The eye doctor was very thorough and did a great job. He also explained things I wasn't familiar with. I also got a pair of glasses here at an excellent price ($50) for frames and lenses. Total spent was just under $60 since the eye exam was $10. It was totally worth it tho and I really like the glasses that I was able to get on a tight budget. I did get this during a promotion where frames were 50% off and eye exams were 10 bucks. either way....excellent service and assistance in every aspect of the visit. the women(one was named Priscilla, she was the best!) at the front counter were also very nice and helpful both at my visit and when I went back to pick up my new glasses. I will definitely go back when my eye prescription expires in a couple years. Great optical center!!!!

I have been paying my bi-monthly payment to Opticare since February 2015, nearly 7 months now and I haven't received any documents. I have needed an eye exam for the past three months and have spoke with customer service in which they told me they haven't registered me yet even though at the time I had been paying for 3 months. After a couple weeks it was finally figured out, but I still haven't received any information of proof of insurance.
I am just paying for insurance and can't use it and now really need it. I have left voicemails since they are too busy to answer the phone and no one has returned my call. They aren't open during the weekends, which makes it even harder to get this resolved. Their customer service is only open until 6pm. They don't cover you very much and this Insurance company is extremely hard to deal with. What company lets a customer pay for 6 months without sending any proof of insurance? Well Opticare does.
