Visionworks Commons at Sugarhouse

I absolutely love the staff at Visionworks/Sugarhouse Commons. Jon, Beth, Brooke and Justice far exceeded my lofty expectations. They truly have epic customer service and are kind, genuine, as well as real. The process was seamless, due to their interest in creating a great atmosphere and experience down to every last detail. Dr Craig is extremely professional and deeply caring. He makes it easy to understand and explains it all. He corrected what others nearly ruined, my eyesight. The customer service speaks volumes of whom I trust my sight to, for sure. Well done !!

I had such a wonderful time here. All of the employees were so nice and welcoming. Everyone including the doctor who conducted my exam made me feel completely comfortable like I was right at home there. All of my questions were answered thoroughly. My husband got an exam and ordered glasses as well and we were both treated with the same amount of respect and consideration. The employees were even joking around with us and made us feel like we were part of their family. My husband and I can't wait to go back! I hope all of them have a wonderful holiday and a very happy new year!

What a difference at Visionworks! I've been coming here for four years and have always loved the doctor -- he's thorough yet efficient and makes eye exams completely painless. Before I found him, I used to dread going because appointments always took forever. The doctor is great as always, but my frustration with Visionworks had always been the front office. I was just told that a couple of the previous staff members no longer work there. One was condescending and seemed uninterested in helping customers, and the other was newer and had made errors with my glasses last year during her first day of training -- she didn't even know what VSP was. I ended up stuck with glasses that didn't work properly, though I'll take some blame for not returning them. Today, everything changed. I was helped by Jon, and he was fantastic. Not only is he friendly and personable, but he clearly has a ton of experience in the optical field. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly -- why polarized lenses were the right choice for me, that I can get my glasses adjusted for free anytime, and even that the cleaning cloth that comes with your glasses is machine washable. I had no idea! I ended up purchasing both eyeglasses and sunglasses, and for the first time, I have complete confidence they'll be done right. Jon is a genuine asset to this company, and I hope Visionworks recognizes that and keeps him around for a long time. It's honestly a little crazy to think I was ready to switch providers entirely because of the front office -- and now everything is perfect.

John was fantastic to work with! He changed what could have been a stressful process for me into one that left me feeling hopeful that my new glasses will really help improve my unique vision situation. He was so knowledgeable on which frames would work best and what type of lenses would help me most. I can't wait to get my new glasses and see how they work out.

Visionworks was my exckusive go-to place for glasses for myself and my sons for nearly 20 years. No more. With courtesy adjustmrnts, tightening a screw, or cleaning, they understood to build a relationship with customers like me, making a fortune off of me. Today, well, the courtesy request turned into a broken hinge of my Nike frame arm. Ok, I can even accept that, given that that second frame was older and I used it for my reading prescription. What I can not accept is some other employee jumping into the conversion I had with the employee who broke the hinge, and him saying "We have no parts. PERIOD!" My sons are in college now. I do not deal with teenage attitudes anymore being 60 myself. These days you know the likely cause for an employee thinking it is ok to talk like that - my accent. So, the store is dead for me. I ordered a replacement arm from eBay for $25 and will put it on myself. If you have recommendations for a new vision store in the area where I can drop a thousand dollars every two to three years, please let me know.

I'm really bothered by the way the dude at the front desk handled my check in and ignored my requests. I had originally asked for information about LASIK when I made this appointment, and attempted to confirm that when I checked in. I was told they don't do that and I had to go somewhere else. I was annoyed, but whatever. Instead of just doing as I requested, which was to move forward with my appointment for the eye exam as scheduled, he told the lady helping me not to bother, because no point paying for an exam if I was getting lasik. I said no, I still want an exam and updated prescription today, because the lasik would be part of next years insurance benefits, not this year. He kept probing further and treating me as though I didn't know what I was talking about, clearly not picking up on the fact that I was getting overwhelmed and annoyed. Ultimately I walked out because I didn't feel comfortable or listened to. This interaction pushed me to make an appointment with an entirely different doctor, and I can't really recommend this office to anyone anymore.

Awesome service! They were able to get me in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Jon was not only super helpful for me but everyone that came in while I waited.

I had been a Lenscrafters customer but they always seemed so expensive! I was referred to Visionworks by a friend and glad I did! The staff was amazing and made me feel so comfortable that I ended up buying 2 new sets of progressive lenses for my frames! Dr Scott was very cool while tweaking my prescription for optimum vision! The pricing or "buy one get one free" was reasonable for my budget! And 100 day warranty ... overall rating 5 stars!
