Dr. Wapner did my PRK surgery in the spring of 2019. Six and a half years later I am so happy I had the surgery. Yes PRK is a hard surgery. Your eyes feel like sand paper and you really can't see for a week. I had dry eyes for the first few years but now they are back to normal. Dr Wapner charged me half the price other doctors were charging. When I asked him why he said he didn't want to go to hell for over charging people. He was also honest in telling my sister in telling my sister that she would not be a good candidate for a surgery. I appreciate his honesty.

Made an appointment the morning of 1/3/25 was seen the morning . The doctors assistants were super nice and very helpful. They even gave me coupons for my eye drops . Saved me a ton of money. Doctor was also hilarious guy.

Completely unprofessional!!! I reached out to Doctor Wapner Francis office because my eyes was irritated and I quickly got an same day appointment! All the workers at the office was fine but his attitude was completely unprofessional. While I was waiting for him to check on me, he was talking loudly with other paciente about Italy trip for at lest 30 minutes. Which is OK for me. What was not OK was when he got to the room that I was waiting He starts chatting with the nurse instead of asking me questions about my eyes. They were talking about trips asking the nurse when she was leaving town and if she needs to wait for him and bla bla bla.... The nurse felt the room so embarrassed and said to him that they were gonna talk after finishing up with me! He asked me probably two questions and didn't spent 5 minutes with me. His only concern was booking my return appointment! My bill was almost $400 for absolutely nothing! Thank you for nothing DR WAPNER! I hope you enjoy my $400 traveling around. I would never ever recommend your services for nobody, Even enemies....

All these negative reviews and not warranted! Dr. Wapner is a stand up guy and doctor. Yes, PRK sucks A$$, but it's not anything he has done different from any other surgeon... And yes my eyes were dry for years following, but that will subside in time! He may seemed Rushed, but he does care about your eye sight and will do all he can to improve it... I highly recommend Dr. Wapner and giving him your trust in your eyesight!!!

Had cataracts in both eyes. Diagnosed immediately without any issues, surgery scheduled promptly and healed quickly. Not sure who these bad reviews saw but everyone in the office has always been nothing but professional and friendly. My friend referred me and she loved them as well. I still appreciate her advice to go there cuz all is still great.

I saw Dr. Wapner in September 2017 for a foreign body sensation in my left eye. I explained this to his assistant who, against my instructions, performed a general eye exam including vision correction and dilation on both of my eyes. He then concluded that I had conjunctivitis in both eyes. I found it odd that a doctor's office would allow a non M.D. assistant to make a medical diagnosis. When Wapner finally came into the exam room, he began by looking at his notes and stating that I was there for a general eye exam. When I corrected him and asked to have him look at my left eye for a foreign body, he defiantly complied and in a few short seconds dismissed my concerns out of hand. He then prescribed an ointment to put on the OUTSIDE of my eye, and said to see him again in another week. All in all, he spent less than 5 minutes with me in the exam room. He didn't bother to use a slit lamp or even look under my eye lid for a foreign body. He was dismissive and hurried. I left his office and immediately went to a different eye care facility as a "walk-in" where an O.D. spent the time to resolve my eye issue. Later, I received 2 bills from Wapner's office totaling over $400. Fortunately, my insurance company was willing to contact his billing office and resolve the issue. Based on my experience with Dr. Wapner and his office staff, I am left with the impression that he is either incompetent or simply maximizing profits at the expense of the insurance companies and patient care. The icing on the cake though is when I received a mailing notice today from his office stating that it's time for my next eye exam! My advice: steer clear of Wapner's office, and find one of the many honest, caring eye care professionals in the area.

Not very nice staff (in the back) and the Dr DID NOT EVEN LOOK AT MY EYES. The girl that took me back RUSHED through my appointment and was not friendly AT ALL. Come to find out, the reason why she was in a hurry, is because it was time for her to be off- she wanted to leave. Unfortunately, now i have to wait until next year and have my eyes looked at again, and my concerns addressed. Nobody asked me if I have any concerns or anything. But the Dr sure was quick to suggest to come back for Lasik. A Lead Tech called to apologize and that is the only reason for the 1 Star-otherwise it would be a 0. Don't waste your time here. Find another Dr.

Dr Wapner is a phenomenal doctor. I recently went to him for lasik and had a great experience. He and his entire staff had great bedside manners. They were extremely thorough about what to expect and continually were talking to me through the surgery about what was coming next. He calmed all my nerves and continually checked my comfort level. My surgery went perfectly and I am so content with my perfect vision. I highly recommend dr Wapner and his whole team.
