Dr pingree strongly recommended my husband get astigmatism correcting torric lenses during his cataract surgery. He said the only downside was the extra cost, $450 to him and $895 to IHC hospital. We paid dr pingree $450 x2 but the hospital is charging $2145.15x2. Dr pingree is taking no responsibility. IHC is reviewing it. It was supposed to take 7-10 days. Now it will take a month. Dr pingree said he'll just need readers. His far vision is reasonable but close vision is blurred. He syringe readers to read and a different strength readers to use the computer but with neither can he see the keyboard. So now he is back to multifocal glasses with clear glass in the top. Since he has to wear and buy multifocal glasses he may as well have fixed the astigmatism with the glasses. So it was a complete waste of money. It is not clear yet if the multifocal lenses will resolve all the new issues. We hope to get tge glasses. These astigmatism/torri. Lenses was a complete waste and we feel scammed . I will see what IHC and select health do regarding this and update this accordingly and look into next steps as needed. We didnt know anything about torric lenses and followed tge doctors recommendation but we feel misled about what it would do and the price issue is making it worse

I were there for my eyes exam yearly with VSP plans then he said, I got a little baby cataract but don't need to worry about it then I got up to go to pay for my Co. Pay which is $10 but they told me you didn't need to pay today and you good to go ... then a month later I got my medical insurance told me to pay hiim $230 for out of my pocket . He was charged me with medical insurance instead VSP plan without telling me that . I didn't come to see him for medical just for my exam that all. So who ever go see this doctor better watch out for it . I learned my lesson when you see him nice better watch out the bill will be surprise you. I don't recommend this doctor to anyone I know.

Excellent service and attention to detail. Great results from refraction and extra care given to make sure results were the best for my situation. As usual, Dr Pingree spent more than adequate time to review results and make recommendations for both my wife and me. We will be long-term patients.

My appointment with Dr. Michael Pingree was definitely a five star experience. I was not kept waiting. Everyone with whom I interacted was friendly and very competent. Dr. Pingree is a superb ophthalmologist. He quickly diagnosed my problem and explained what I needed to do to correct it. My eyes are now fine, and I have no more discomfort.

I liked him at first but my cataract surgery didn't go so well. My eyes have had streaks of light over them since he did my cataract surgery. He had to do my left eye twice because of an error he made the first time. After that I always felt rushed when I was there for follow up visits. Most of the staff is friendly and professional but they are not very good at calling me back, I have been told at least 4 times I would get a call back on different occasions but each time I have had to keep calling back. I thought they would try to make things right by reimbursing some of the expenses after the trouble I went through but they never did.

I am a patient of Dr. Michael Pingree. The eye care I receive is exceptional. He has a great staff that is very friendly and the waiting time when you arrive is minimal. My eye exam was thorough and his equipment is "state-of- the-art". I do not hesitate in referring my family and my friends to Dr. Pingree for their eye care. The best! Dr. P. Steven McDonough, DDS

Dr. Young is really good with kids and makes an eye exam enjoyable for them. He takes the time to answer all of my questions and explains things very well. We drive 25 minutes to see him even though we pass many other eye clinics on the way. Well worth the drive.

Dr. Mike Pingree is a very capable eye doctor. He is kind and very attentive. I felt like all the tests his staff performed were thorough and his exam was professional and well done! I ordered some glasses from his office and am 100% happy! I would highly recommend Dr. Pingree!!
