Dr. Austin was very kind and caring as a Doctor, and I was looking forward to working with him. However, I had numerous problems with the prescriptions he wrote me, which resulted in over $500 lost buying glasses and contacts that don't suit my eyes. His receptionist was very rude when I suggested he wrote my prescription wrong, and I came back twice to get it corrected, to no avail. When I visited my hometown Optometrist, we discovered that he failed to recognize my astigmatism or slightly crossed eyes. The glasses I ordered with his prescription were lousy, and the contacts gave me headaches and made me concerned that my vision was rapidly worsening. Now I have the correct prescription from my hometown doctor, but I wasted $500 on glasses and contacts with a faulty prescription, and even after multiple visits, he couldn't help me correct my vision. Again, he was very nice, didn't charge me for the re-visits, but seeking care from him was a really disappointing and expensive experience.
