Dr. Jenifer W. Ambler OD

I came into their business as a new Brattleboro resident and a new customer. Having left my optometrist in DC and being new to the area, I was just looking for them to adjust my frame; it got a bit bent in the move and was really hurting my ears. I was told by the doctor, as I was finishing my gentil introduction, quite abruptly, that they do not adjust frames unless they are bought from their store. Having had this done before in DC, I know this would have taken 5 minutes, 10 minutes maximum, out of their time. Thankfully there are other optometrist businesses in Brattleboro, and when in the near future I will need an annual exam and a new pair of classes and contacts, I will most certainly not come back to this office. If the doctor/office manager reads this review, this, Dr. Ambler, is how you lose potential customers. It is also how you lose connection with reality, that we are all connected and in this together, particularly now, and, more importantly, generosity and kindness go a long way. Out of all the businesses I've gotten to know since my arrival, this was my first negative experience in Brattleboro, a town that I plan to make my home. I will never make a recommendation for your business.

I just gotTufts Health Plan. eye med and cigna are part of my coverage, because of this Dr Ambler is listed as a provider. I called to set an appointment and i was told "We do not take Tufts" No chance to explain. I called Tufts and they told me she is a provider because of Cigna Called a second time "We do not take Tufts". Tried to explain the situation "Sorry Dr Ambler says we do not take Tufts." Not impressed with a doctor that does not listen or try to understand. Very rude.

The staff were very friendly. I got a very thorough exam, and Dr. Ambler got me the prescription I needed and set me up with some contacts the same day. I intend to keep going.

Had the best good vibe over the phone and knew it would be a good choice to take my 8yr old daughter there. Yes i was right they were great and very friendly! They also got us right in for an appointment

Dr. Ambler has been my doctor since I was a little girl! Love her. She is thorough and calming!

Very positive experience all around, from the office staff to Dr. Ambler herself! So good to find an eye doctor with a warm bedside manner who knows her stuff!

Very accommodating office, very efficient pleasant visit, excellent job adjusting the prescription for my child's shifting astigmatism. Highly recommend.
