Costco Optical Department

Michelle & all the employees are great! I have been purchasing my contacts and all of my glasses here for years. When I purchased glasses I get 2 to 3 pairs every time. They are amazing at handling the insurance which is so helpful compared to other places I've been. The glasses come in a timely manner instead of the contacts. I'm not sure why people are complaining it's not a drive-thru. Perhaps people are not good with people so maybe they should order online.

There was a girl with a blue jacket her name is Michelle and glasses she was so rude I was asking her what does bifocal mean and she goes and says, what do you mean didn't you go to your optometrist didn't they explain this to you in such a rude manner I was just make asking in a nice way

I went in expecting the worst due to the poor reviews for Michelle. I was shocked to find that the 'old woman' that every review seems to have such vitriol for was the pleasant young woman who helped us. We brought in broken glasses that we did not buy at Costco, expecting nothing. Michelle immediately assisted us and was able to not only replace the arm temporarily but also wrote down the information for the correct part so we could find it later. All completely free, all within fifteen minutes. She didn't have to do any of this. I'm convinced the poor reviews are from people who have never understood the concept of waiting in a line and are outraged at the idea of 'first come first served'. Can't thank Michelle enough.

I came in at 7:30 on a Monday night and had a wonderful experience with Malia P. She was very knowledgeable, really took pride in her work, and helped me and joked with me every step of the way in getting a pair of glasses and sunglasses, being completely understanding about my budget and price concerns along the way. Can't recommend Costco glasses enough! (Ive at good experiences at Walmarts too, but prefer how Costco treats their employees and is more ethically conscious in general) Defintiely recommend in person vs online so they can measure your PD and mark where your pupils are to get a more accurate fit, and for the customer service!

Rude woman working the counter, very condescending to customers. Don't need to be mean about explaining eyeglass prescriptions

Zero !! Horrible customer service from Michelle. Michelle is an old, slow lady that needs to fired immediately. I came in at around 8:05pm on 3/17/23, just to pick up one box of contact lens. I waited patiently since one couple was ahead of me. As 15 minutes passed and since I was still not addressed by her, I politely asked if I could pick up my contact lens. She replied "after she takes care of the couple in front of me" who were getting the whole work-up of eyeglasses. A few minutes later, I asked if she'll be here till 830. She replied "that's if I'll still be here." Frustrated and in disbelief, I could do nothing but wait impatiently. Fast forward, it is now 8:31pm and Costco is now closed. Finally, Michelle attends to me. Within less than a minute, she took the contact lens box out of the drawer and had me sign for pickup. In disbelief, I asked her politely why she couldn't let me pick up my contact lens immediately, but instead you make me wait for 25 minutes!!!! She replied that "I should have come in before them...and that I need to get a time clock." Are you kidding me? So, I told her "you need to multitask or get a new job". She then requests for assistance and all of a sudden three people followed and surrounded me on the way out. They later identified themselves as managers. Do not buy your contact lens from this Costco optical especially from the old, slow, outdated, poorly-trained, Michelle, who simply cannot multi-task. With her being small-minded and senile, she will keep you waiting to show what great power she think has over you. If she really cared about customer service, she could have addressed me at any time and told me that she will attend to me in a few minutes. Seriously, If you have other customers waiting, you need to also acknowledge them. Also, Michelle should have let me come back and pick up my contact lens by the time Costco closes so I would have time to go shopping. Due to Michelle's inability to multi-task and provide professional customer service, I was never able to go shopping and Costco was not able to make any sales from me. It's time for Michelle to leave because being an optical salesman is obviously overwhelming for her. She simply does not belong in any customer service jobs.

Got an exam which was great. The issues arose once we went inside to purchase frames. Associates had no desire to help anyone. Just ignored us for 20 minutes even after taking a number. This store has different policies than any other store we've purchased glasses from. Ultimately left and went to a different store to purchase glasses with no issues. Just save your time and go to a different location.

Great. Greg helped me find just what I needed and everything was good price. I asked about a second pair coupon and they got me a discount. Good service and fast. Glasses came back like 6 days later.
