My family recommended me to this doctor, and I am so glad for it. I am an elderly, and with age, i get nervous in doctors offices. The sweet dog's presence calms me down, and i can see smailes around while we waited. I don't know why people think its rude to have a dog around, for me its a Bonus, therapy dogs are a real thing and they give love wothout asking anything in return, just the basic humane decency. Oh, and I love the eyeglasses shop next to it, Don is helpful, kind and honest. Thank you!
I give 5 stars to Dr. Khalil at Eye Physicians and Surgeons! What a gem of a doctor! He was so through, meticulous and very compassionate! The best part is he actually listens to the patients and takes his time to diagnose, investigate, evaluate and treat the patient with 100% utmost care. He is bright, warm and has the best bedside manner! He ran all the necessary tests and didnt rush the appointment. He gave a thoughtful and detailed analysis of what was happening in my eye and why I was seeing double vision, and explained everything in detail. If you are looking for a new opthamologist, you have to come see Dr. Khalil! Staff and team are amazing as well. Wishing him the best success!
Meh. Typical run-down eye doctor practice. Pros: They fit me in quickly (for the optometrist, not the ophthalmologist), free parking, and got my Rx. Cons: Run-down building, and they had me sign a form with the prices, and then when it was time to pay, the price was different! This was the contact prescription price. They said "the form needs to be updated". I would suggest updating the form *before* implementing the price hike. I raised it with the staff member, but they refused to honor the price on the form. Not cool. Will not be back.
I am very glad to have found such a wonderful, experienced and kind Ophthalmologist near me. I believe my search for a good eye doctor is over as I intend to stay with Dr Essepian as long as he will treat me.
My tests are not completed yet, and i am confident that I would be fully advised of my eye care when they are all done. Also, it is very important for me to acknowledge Angel the beautiful dog who settled my anxiety with love and calm attention the moment i stepped into the clinic. Her presence meant so much for me, she made the wait (needed time for my pupils to dilate etc) bearable, and in fact time past without any nervousness. So, I want to tell Dr Essepian how grateful i am for Angel.
inefficient office staff that fails to provide appointment notices even when requested. When patient shows frustration over inadequate office procedure they verbally attack the patient. Not sure how good or. bad the doctor is but staff is a nightmare. This office is one of the worst encountered in years and if office procedure and patient scheduling are such a problem one can only imagine how records, insurance and after care are. Not someplace to trust your vision to. After this experience I went to read reviews and so happy to have dodged this bullet. What a horrible place!
My family and I have been going to Dr. Essepian for over 25 years. Have always received prompt, excellent service. Can't imagine a better eye physician in town. He is excellent in his office functions and in surgical situations. Recommend him to all new patients entering the Northern Virginia area ( he has two locations ).George Robertson
Dr. Essepian is in my opinion THE BEST! I've had 2 surgeries and I feel like a new person. My eyesight is better now then when I was in my 20's. The surgeries we're quick and painless, and I'm a crybaby.
His staff are knowledgeable and super efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Essepian. I almost wish I had a third eye that he could fix. Life is good!
The business tried to charge me $81 for an eye exam, when my insurance has a $25 co-pay. When I attempted to explain this to the receptionist, the technician who performed the eye exam for my son jumped up from her desk, reached around the receptionist and physically grabbed the paper with my son's eye glasses prescription out of my hand and told me that if I didn't pay $81, I would not get the prescription. I told her that I would happily pay the $25 co-pay, but would not pay more. I informed her that I would go to another eye company, and told her that since she refused to give me my son's prescription, I did not want a bill in the mail.
I received a bill from this company for $25. Since I did not get a prescription, I called the billing company to dispute the charge. I was informed I needed to speak to the office manager. They provided me with the name and phone number of Emily as the office manager. I called and left Emily a voicemail. Four days after leaving the voicemail, I had not heard back from Emily. On the fifth day after leaving a voicemail, I stopped by the office in person and requested to speak with Emily. I was informed that Emily worked in the Fairfax, Virginia office. I requested they contact Emily and have her call be back. After a day passes without hearing back from Emily I called the Fairfax office. A male answered the phone, I introduced myself and stated I had previously left a message for Emily and would like to speak with her. The man, who refused to provide me with his name, told me "I know all about you, you did not leave a message for Emily, and we stand by our decision", after which he hung up the phone on me.
I called the Fairfax office back and requested, again, to speak to Emily. I was ultimately able to speak to Emily and she informed me that she couldn't change the policy and you owe $25. I explained to Emily that I never received my son's glasses prescription, to which Emily stated that I still owe the $25 co-pay.
