The optometrist here is great, but the other staff is lacking. I came in to get a new Rx for a second specialized/supplementary pair of glasses and I could not get any info out of the woman behind the desk. I told her I wanted to use an additional frame identical to the one I had and if she could provide a price sheet for the lenses. Instead of providing that simple bit of information, she tried to tell me they could still use my old frames (told her NO, I needed TWO PAIRS of glasses and I need the ones I have), rolled her eyes, spent a long minute at her computer screen and declared the price of the lenses will be exactly what I paid for my old pair- over $400. I told her again, NO, I do not want lenses like my old ones, can I just have a price sheet with the options? Again, she made a snoot face and told me no. So I asked if I could at least be given my prescription so I could go elsewhere. She proceeded to provide me one prescription but not the other. I had to ask her for the second prescription since that was the pair I wanted made ...
Like, the whole process was like pulling teeth with someone who tried to make me feel like I was being difficult. I still don't have a price sheet. What's so hard about providing a listing of lense types, coating types, and other features? Why do you have to be such a snooty and unhelpful gate keeper?
These people are super nice. They've just repaired my glasses (which I had bought elsewhere) for free. I insisted on paying, but they declined. Thank you!
Paul and Jeff were amazing this evening for my visit for myself and my son!! Great information regarding glasses and eye!!! Give them a raise!!z
I usually don't write reviews but my experience here really shocked me. Staff was not attending and overall not helpful except for one male worker who I didn't get the name of. My whole experience I felt rushed and un-welcomed and at some points I would wait to ask questions or clarification on something and I was met with side eyes and sighs as if im bothering them. I understand you want to go home or you're having a bad day but don't take it out on me lol. Doctor had the same tone as well. I didn't feel welcomed. It also irked me that an employee had an airpod in and was more occupied with that then help/explain anything to me. Just overall bad experience.
They do not value or respect their patients' time at this office. I have gone here for several years and the delays just keep getting worse. In the past I have waited a couple of hours to be seen, and once I even had the first appointment of the day and I waited locked out front because they couldn't even be bothered to show up and open the shop on time. Today I had an appointment scheduled for 11:00 and I had to bring my baby with me. Knowing they are always running late, I waited about 20 minutes and then asked how far behind they were. I was told 30 minutes. Great, so I should be seen around 11:30. I explained that I needed to be able to give my baby a bottle shortly after noon, so I just needed a realistic estimate of how long it would be. The receptionist told me it was no problem and I would be done by noon. At 11:35, I still hadn't been called back, and no one else in the waiting room had been called either. So I went to ask again. I was told there is just one person in front of me. When I pointed out that that person's visit with the doctor had not even started yet, I was told that the doctor is still with another patient. So I asked how long that would take. The receptionist checked the system and told me the doctor had not put in a prescription yet, so she didn't know how much longer it would be. So now I'm standing there with a baby who is getting hungry, with no estimate for when the patient currently being seen will be finished, or how long the next person's appointment might be, before they even get to me. Why lie to me about being finished by noon if there was literally zero chance of that happening? If she had been more realistic about it, I would probably have rolled with it and fed my baby while I waited. But instead she lied to try to string me along. When I pointed out that these appointment delays seem to be a regular thing, the receptionist said the doctor is just very thorough. I'm sorry, but it is an eye exam. If it takes a certain amount of time for the doctor to do the thorough good job he is ethically (and probably legally) required to do, the appointments ought to be long enough to accommodate that. I told her that if the doctor is always running late, maybe the appointments should be scheduled differently. And then came the straw that broke the camel's back. She says, "See, the thing is, he knows he is always running late." And just stares at me. So, the doctor knows he is always running late, and just doesn't care? Like, at all? That is so unbelievably rude. I canceled it. If the optometrist knows that he is perpetually wasting his patients' time and is not interested whatsoever in remedying that situation, then I need a new optometrist. If you value your time, don't with this optometrist. There are a zillion eye doctors. Just go literally anywhere else.
Editing to note that I have been a my eye dr patient at various locations for over a decade. This is the only one that can't seem to handle scheduling things properly.
DO NOT GO HERE. Ordered contacts with the younger girl working the glasses/contacts desk. I ordered 3 months of each eye. When I ordered them, the girl was barely paying attention to me and had an AirPod in the entire time. Her attitude very clearly demonstrated that she was annoyed to be doing her job--not my problem. Clearly the AirPod inhibited her ability to do her job because when I went to pick up my contacts, she had ordered 6 months of one eye. First of all, who would want that anyways? Second of all, when the woman at the front desk told her "hey you ordered these wrong," the young girl immediately became defensive and her only response was "well it's gonna cost you more" AS IF IT WASN'T HER MISTAKE IN THE FIRST PLACE. She wasn't apologetic at all and stormed back to her desk. They then said I could pay more to get the actual thing I ordered with no offers for sample contacts or any consolation in the meantime. I was also told by this office that Medicaid didn't cover contacts, but when I showed up they were. TLDR--no one at this office seems to know about anything they're talking about and can't do their job correctly.
Optometrist here is truly amazing and thorough! But here I am sitting in the waiting room for an HOUR now. I wish they warn people if they are running this late.
Jeff Caesar is the guy you want to help you. He was informative, kind and attentive.
