Vision Essentials Optical Center | Kaiser Permanente Alexandria Medical Center

I had my appointment in Maryland because it was the quickest appointment I could get in time. They ordered glasses and trial contacts for me but shipped them to the Alexandria location since it was closer to me. I have waited over a month for them. The maryland location told me two weeks ago that they shipped them to Alexandria and they would be there in a day or two and they would call me when they arrived. I waited a week for a call and it never came. Last week on Wednesday, I called and left a message during business hours, no answer and no call back even though they promise to call back in 24 hours. On Thursday I drove there after work and got stuck in a lot of holiday travel. I got there around 4pm and no one was there even though they aren't supposed to be closed until 5pm. The pharmacy told me that they make their own schedule. I called again this morning to try to pick up my glasses before I travel for the holidays and no answer once again. So apparently it's a great place for appointments but if you ever need to call or pick something up, it's impossible to find anyone. The most unprofessional place I've seen.

Luis Rodriguez is so awesome! He saved me a few times! Once I lost my unique glasses & he was able to find them for me again. This time, I broke the same frames & although they were on the very edge of being permanently damaged, he happily fixed them for me! I came about 30 minutes early for my appointment and he stopped what he was doing to rescue me! I love this man! Thank you Luis!!!

Excellent eye care from the team at Kaiser Permanente. Alexis got me all checked in quickly, Dr. Noble was kind and professional, and Luis was extremely helpful in selecting the perfect glasses. A+ team.

After getting contacts for the first time, I ripped one 5 days in. I was told that it would take 1-2 weeks to order, but lo and behold, 1/2 hour later, I received a call from Maria, and she had found a pair. I picked them up that afternoon and I can see again. If you have any problems with contacts or glasses I highly recommend you call Maria!

I bought new glasses at KP at Alexandria Medical center for the first time. A really good experience because that optical center was not nearly as busy as others I was at before, which resulted in a very short wait time and good calm advice from Luiz the optician. He knows his stuff and his inventory!
