Beautiful office with great staff! Kathy (who was working the front desk) was welcoming, super friendly, and patient with me when checking me in. She went above and beyond for me. Dr. Abebe was also great and very friendly! My eye exam was very thorough and comprehensive. I love how clean and well maintained the rooms are. She took her time, explained all of my issues/concerns with me thoroughly, and offered plenty of solutions for my specific issue. I never felt rushed or in a hurry at all. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a local Optometrist!

my wife and I had a fantastic experience for our first visit with doctor Meklit Abebe. From the moment my wife and I walked in, the staff was welcoming and the office felt very modern and clean. Dr. Meklit took the time to explain every part of the exam and didn't make us feel rushed at all. We really appreciated how they answered my questions about our concern (e.g., red or dry eyes, lense, glass) in a way that was easy to understand. We've definitely found our new go-to eye doctor!

She was so humble, thorough, understanding, though I had one issue with my eye she did not scare with that information and made me feel comfortable. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Founders Eyecare and Dr. Meklit Abebe, O.D. I had my first appointment there on 10/21/25 and came away extremely impressed with the professional care provided and amiable manner of both Dr. Abebe and her optician assistant Kathy. Here are the top reasons I recommend it: It was very easy and straightforward to schedule an appointment online. The office followed up with a reminder about the appointment and online insurance forms so I could take care of this before arriving. The office is inviting and pleasant, with a clean and uncluttered look. It also has the latest technical equipment including a machine that performs retinal scans that I had never experienced before. Dr. Abebe took time to listen to my concerns and perform a thorough exam with no sense of rushing. She had thoughtful suggestions about how I might improve my near/mid vision with changes to my progressive lenses and also a modified contact lens prescription. Kathy was very knowledgeable about options for glasses frames that would be right for my face shape and lens prescription. I ended up ordering new glasses during my visit because I had confidence that Founders would make sure the lenses would be manufactured correctly. I have recommended Founders Eyecare for my wife and son and would not hesitate to suggest the practice to friends and neighbors.

Could not have asked for a better experience when I visited several months back. The doctor was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful, especially when it came to learning contacts. I was fully expecting that part to take forever, but they had me comfortable and confident in less than 7 minutes. Overall a fantastic visit and I'll definitely be coming back.
