I travelled across four states to see him because of his expertise in the procedure I needed and it was well worth the extra expense and effort.

I was so glad that I found Dr. Gustavo Corrales, known as one of the best cataract surgeons in the Virginia area. Dr. Coralles operated on my eyes, and also helped me to achieve the best vision with my eyes, (without any glasses) with the latest technology of Light Adjustable Lens (LAL), implanted in my eyes at the time of performing cataract surgery, following with UV light treatments. Now, both my near and distance visions are amazing. It is wonderful that I can read, drive and see far without having to wear glasses or contact lens. My cataract surgery on both eyes and all the procedures for the Light Adjustable Len were smoothly and comfortably performed by Dr. Gustave Corrales, on Jan and February 2025. I found him to be a highly skilled cataract surgeon who is highly experienced with the LAL procedure. He is kind, professional, warm, caring, friendly and it is comfortable to deal with him. His technician team and staff is also highly dedicated, professional, efficient and caring. I was referred to Dr. Corrales by a good friend, had a bump inside my eye that would come and go. First impression is everything to me, and arriving to the office and seeing the attentiveness and the genuine kindness of the Staff was super impressive. It didn't just feel like they were just doing their job, but actually cared about the patients coming in. That to me is a big plus, nothing worst then a rude/careless staff and Dr. Corrales was the complete opposite of rude, He was really sweet and was also able to help me treat my problem. It was definitely a pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

I had a new symptom that I wasn't sure was serious or not at 4:53pm (their office closes at 5pm). Ashley the Office Manager took my call and contacted Dr Corrales (my doctor) to let me know what I should do (e.g. discontinue eyedrops or not, go to the ER, etc.). She called me back after 5pm once she reached the doctor to let me know what to do, and scheduled me an appointment for 2 days later (before the weekend) so he could see my eye and confirm everything was OK. She "talked me off the ledge" because I was pretty concerned and stayed after hours to make sure I was OK with the plan. Both Ashley and Dr Corrales provided excellent care and spectacular customer service.

I accompanied a senior family member for his appointment after a surgery. The new office is impeccably clean and the staff were helpful (in both English and Spanish). The doctor's assistant was knowledgeable, personable, and professional. Doctor Corrales himself was impressive. I was particularly impressed by his patience: he took the time to explain everything to us all--the patient and the accompanying family! Based on our experience, I would recommend Dr. Corrales to others.

Dr Corrales is the best; friendly, caring, makes you feel very comfortable and at ease before, during and after surgery. Had cataract surgery on my right eye and on first follow up appointment scheduled immediately to do left eye. Great office staff too
