I had a great visit yesterday. Appt took place on time and everyone was polite, efficient and showed concern. I was particularly impressed with the doctor I saw. He was the second best eye doctor I've seen and I've seen a lot. He was super professional and has a great bedside manner. Easy to talk to and easy to listen to.

I have been going to Harman Eye Center for about 5 years now. All the eye doctors I have seen in the past have moved away and are no longer with the Harman Company. But this past week on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 my 15 year old grandson and myself had the pleasure of having our appointments with Doctor B. Douglas Haley. What a great experience we had! My grandson took to Dr. Haley right away asking questions about the procedure enjoying every minute!! I myself noticed how professional and knowledgeable Dr. Haley was and at the same time very approachable and easy to talk too. These standards continued all the way through our appointment. Do yourself a favor and request Dr. B. Douglas Haley for your next appointment with Harman you will thank yourself later!!

I recently had my yearly vision exam at Harman Eye Center located in Danville, Va. 24541. I was advised by Erica J. Bobb, O.D. that the cataract that I have had for some time in my right eye had become problematic. She referred me to Mark J. Morris, M.D., M.D. for consultation. Dr. Morris is also employed at Harman Eye Center in Danville, Va. 24541. He recommended surgery and explained in detail the procedure, provided me with literature and also answered additional questions I had. I had the procedure completed yesterday and it could not have gone any better. My vision has greatly improved, and the procedure was not painful at all. Dr. Bobb & Dr. Morris are exceptionally nice and comforting which resulted in my having little to no apprehension with regard to having the procedure done. If you need eye care I highly recommend the services provided by Harman Eye Center.

On Wednesday December 3, I brought my special needs brother to his appointment (that the time had been changed twice). This made a very long day. Shentel (not sure of spelling) not only acknowledged Chris, she talked to him every time she had a few seconds. When it was time for his appointment, she continued talking to him, making him feel much more comfortable. Shentel helped to make a very difficult day much easier! I feel Shentel always goes above and beyond to help! Dr. Basten is also very good with Chris! She is so patient and clearly explains everything on his level. Thank you Shentel and Dr. Basten for your patience, understanding, and support!!

While my actual eye exam appointment was good, the first time I showed up for my scheduled appointment, they were running an hour behind schedule and did not bother to call people prior to coming in for their appointment. The receptionist told me that this is pretty standard for their office. I had to reschedule that day because I did not have 2+ hours to spend at an eye appointment. When I came in for my rescheduled appointment, I waited 35 minutes before going back. This just feels like a scheduling issue that needs to be addressed.

I started with Dr. Harman when he & his lovely sweet wife Mary, first opened their business in Lynchburg. They were always kind and wanted to make sure everything was going well. Dr. Doug Haley is the same way. They have always had very kind personable staff.
