Please consider the following before booking an eye exam appointment with Dr. Hannah Song, O.D. at Washington Eye & Co. in the Costco at 2700 Potomac Mills, Suite 200 Woodbridge, VA -- Dr. Song completed an eye exam for me in June 2024 and wrote a prescription which was used to purchase two pairs of glasses at Costco Optical. When the glasses were picked up and tried on-- neither pair of glasses could be kept because both sets of glasses were blurry and there was a defect with both corrections on the prescription -- Costco Optical was kind enough to allow me to return both pairs of glasses or I would have been out the money for the glasses as well as the eye exam. The reason that I would re-consider booking an appointment for an eye exam with this practice is because of the following. After returning the glasses made using Dr. Song's prescription and realizing that there was an error with the prescription --I notified Washington Eye & Co. of what happened via their email address printed on their business card --I mentioned that the prescription could not be used and that the glasses had to be returned (including the return receipt) and asked what Washington Eye & Co. recommended. Washington Eye & Co. did not respond to my email or reach out to try and correct the prescription. Washington Eye & Co. ignored the information re: incorrect prescription and Washington Eye & Co. were dishonest and argumentative when confronted after more than 30 days had passed and I contacted the business by telephone. I would consider scheduling an appointment with an optometrist other than Dr. Song since eye glass prescriptions often require adjustments and most optometrists recognize this and are committed to working with the patient until the patient has a working prescription.
