Longview Eye & Vision

I took my 9 year old son here once I found out his vision wasn't great and found he needed glasses. Each experience we had was pleasant. We were scheduled a month out, but we were called the next day saying they had a cancellation which worked for us. The doctor we saw was great; he was personable, knowledgeable and treated my son like an individual. The guy who helped my son pick out his glasses was super patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Our next visit was brief but pleaseant again. We went back to pick up my son's glasses and to have them adjusted to fit his face. The woman that helped us was very knowledgeable, and super nice to my son. If you have children that need glasses this is the place to go. I plan on switching to them for my vision needs.

Comfortable, welcoming office - supported by a friendly staff. I was seen by Dr. Irina Rutkowski. Dr. Rutkowski is kind, friendly and professional. She took the time to explain to me what is currently happening with my vision. She is thorough - I felt seen and heard. Ali assisted me in the optical department. She helped me select a frame, as I was undecided. Ali also broke down what my insurance included. All and all an excellent experience. I recommend Longview Eye and Vision and Dr. Irina Rutkowski.

I've been coming here for a number of years. They seem to get my prescription just right every time. That's really what counts the most with me. They don't exactly have a large selection of men's frames. Especially not ones that are covered in my insurance plan. So I'm usually settling for some kind of frames. Ones that are included in my insurance plan that don't cost anymore are limited to one column on the far right side of the men's section of frames. When getting my glasses adjusted and fitted, she disappeared into a back room to adjust them. I asked her to straighten the earpieces just a little bit more and she just adjusted them without using the heat. I was a little concerned about this because that can lead to breaking. I don't think she was very experienced and it was clear she fairly was young.

I was looking for a new eye doctor to go to, and explained that I'll be going through a new insurance company soon, so the appointment would have to be before the end of the month (this was already mid month), and they were able to get me in! Fast forward to todays appointment, everything went smoothly! Friendly staff, helpful assistants, and friendly & professional doctor (I saw Dr. Bannister). I cannot recommend this place enough. I left my old vision center to check out this one, and I'm never going back! This place is it! Check it out if you're looking for great people.

I have been coming to Longview Eye & Vision since I was very little. The assistants and doctors are so friendly and they make your appointment so easy. They also are very efficient, and work well with you if there are any unexpected issues. For example, I broke my glasses to the point where they were unusable and the team at Longview Eye & Vision helped me get a temporary pair within a day or two. They are definitely the place to go for all your eye needs!

When I made the appointment months ago, I was told my insurance was accepted. Now, a week before my appointment it suddenly isn't, and I'm told my insurance must have changed even though it definitely hasn't. So much wasted time living with glasses that are falling apart. Edit: Sitting here glueing my glasses back together once more, thought it would be a good idea to update this. In a follow-up call, they suggested I change my insurance so I could make my appointment. When I pointed out this was obviously not a practical solution, the person I talked to frustratedly responded "Well I tried!" Very rude. Out of touch with what patients need. Wish I could rate 0 stars. Bullet dodged for what it's worth, I guess. Edit: after speaking with my insurance, they said Longview Eye and Vision is definitely in network. Insurance called them for me. Quickly got a call back from Longview Eye and Vision, and they got me scheduled for an appointment that week with an apology for the misunderstanding. No real explanation what happened though. Everyone was nice enough, but it didn't really make up for the initial experience.

Dr Bannister is amazing with kids and adults. He is thorough and easy to talk to. The staff has been exceptional as well.

They got me in very fast. Appointments are kinda pushed out but i was on the call list and got in 3 weeks before my actual appointment. They were very nice there. They answered all my questions, explained the procedures as we were going along, and made me feel very comfortable. I've never had glasses before so this was a wonderful experience for me. They let me take my time picking out the frames while i kept rejecting so many of them. I wish i remembered the lady's name who helped me with that, but she was wonderful. So sweet to me and never made me feel rushed or bad for not liking the frames. I eventually found the perfect fit for me and I'm so excited for them to come in. Thank you Longview Eye & Vision team for making it such a good first experience for me.
