Incredibly disappointing experience. I brought my dog to my vet and we determined that a growth in his eye needed to be urgently removed before causing him to go blind. My veterinarian recommended that I call the Animal Eye Clinic to have the growth surgically removed as soon as possible. We made an appointment and agreed with the terms and fees required to get the surgery scheduled and done. After confirming several times via text and phone calls we got a call with less than 24 hours notice that they have an emergency the day before our scheduled procedure and they will need to cancel our procedure the following day. When we set up the original appointment I notified them that I travel for work and that we are leaving the area in mid August. The receptionist then offered to reschedule us after the time we are already scheduled to leave (we notified them of the date previously) Washington and asked me to change my travel plans so that they could do the procedure on another date. I asked if there was ANY other appointments in the next 30 days before we leave and that I would accommodate any availability within this timeframe only to be told that they can not help us because the Dr. is scheduling a vacation in that time. Needless to say this really screwed us royally as now we are urgently trying to find another animal eye surgeon that can fit us in and possibly save my dogs eye. To recap we made an appointment, confirmed the appointment several times only to be canceled with less than 24 hours notice then offered an appointment past the time they knew we were leaving the state. This is an extremely disappointing and horrible experience from a horrible clinic that I would highly recommend staying away from if you love your animal at all.

I recently took my little pug in to see them and the doctor was just so incredible with him. Yes the doctor was great. However, everything after that moment was awful. I spent over a month trying to get a medication for his eyes which the pharmacy said they would accommodate. It was a pharmacy out of poulsbo. However, after calling the vet in poulsbo I found out they didn't even receive prescription until 3 weeks after my visit. Then I kept calling the office. Which by the way no one ever answers cuz apparently the person behind the desk can't answer her phone. I did send a nasty text after a month saying I'm going to review you and it's not going to be pretty. Funny. That's when I finally got a response 37 days later trying to get my dog's medication. They got back to me after I threatened them and then they told me they wouldn't see me anymore which I'm fine with. I don't need them. I actually talked to my vet this morning. We're going a whole different route. My dog is 13 years old. I don't need to spend $600 to walk into a vet for 20 minutes. Have them promise me medication and then not follow through. I love how they say we're trying to hire more Steph. I was in their office that's staff remember stepped behind that desk and never once picked up the phone. It's not about staffing. It's about these young kids. Don't want to answer phones or talk to people. Learn how to run a business. The doctor was amazing but you have to have an entire office the follows through with you for yours. Everyone and I will never step foot in that place again and I will never say a nice thing because it's been 37 days. I finally had to go to the vet in poulsbo to get the medication I need. Dog ophthalmologist or joke and overcharge us never stepping foot in one again.

Even though my Oreo is not a candidate for eye surgery I want to write about the good experience I had with Dr Sullivan and his team. He was very empathetic, knowledgeable and caring towards me and my dog. He explained everything so i could understand and was very gentle with my dog. He did recommend a test prior possible cataract surgery to make sure Oreo would even benefit from it. Yes it is pricey to see a specialist but isn't it everywhere?

My dog had a freak accident and got something lodged in his eye. This place squeezed us in (they're booked 3 months out) and he was able to have surgery the next day. Jenn (front desk) texted me on updates throughout the day when he was there waiting for surgery and was so kind and helpful. Dr. Sullivan had some of the best bedside manner I've ever experienced. I felt as though he was caring for my dog like his own. I wish he was a human doctor This was a traumatizing event as my dog was in pain and it was progressively getting worse as I frantically called trying to get him seen. I felt very helpless and time was of the essence. It's been a long recovery, but he is on the mend and I'm so grateful for this place. Please see hand drawn med bag below. Great staff & vet! Although wait times to get an appointment are very long, it's totally worth it to see Dr. Sullivan. He is very knowledgeable and is so patient, explains everything in detail and answers all questions. We went to see him for our dog's cataracts and found a different issue to be treated that has greatly improved his quality of life.

I felt very relieved in finding a great eye Dr for my special little Tulip The Tornado. She had bleeding in her eye. The good news is with drops and time, it should resolve itself, snd nothing too serious. Service is drop-off curbside, which I don't have an issue with. I trust knowing my pup is in very good hands. Excellent after care instruction & experience!

I am soooo grateful I found Dr Sullivan. When our dog had a prosthetic eye put in due to glaucoma, I had googled it beforehand (bad idea, I know!) and prepared myself for bandages and half his face shaved and painful healing. When we picked our dog up after surgery, I couldn't believe it. It didn't even look like he had surgery -- that's how skilled Dr Sullivan is! It's a gift AND an art. He loves his practice, the animals he cares for, and it really shines through.

I've been taking my Goldens to Dr Sullivan for over 10 years. He is very kind and excellent what he does. Everyone is nice. It's very popular & busy place so you might prepare to wait a bit.
