I had a very good first experience with Dr. Kim. (I'd had a difficult experience a few weeks earlier with someone else in a different location and was left with a lot of anxiety and questions.) Dr. Kim communicated with me very well, and answered all my questions in detail, which was both reassuring and realistic. He needed to do a very thorough exam of my eye, and did that very gently. I changed my next follow-up appointment to be with him instead of someone else i hadn't met, because i trust both his skill and his communication about what's happening and what needs to happen. Eye stuff is very scary for me and feeling safe and well-informed makes a huge difference in how distressing dealing with it is.

Very long wait with no explanation or acknowledgement. The physician was primarily interested in my decision to accept surgery or not. No explanation of the surgery itself, and I had to ask about specific recovery restrictions. No discussion of outcome statistics. No discussion of whether or not the risk/benefit profile was worth it for me, a borderline case. I was told my vision was 20/20, which I haven't had since I was ten. Assistants were delightful.

Never got a chance to see the doctor, had to leave after 1 1/2 hours due to another appointment with the complete lack of new patient information and instructions. I'm sure she is very nice, but the clinic, whoever it may fall on, needs some work with patient communication
