I especially like the friendly, upfront atmosphere and prompt service. They tell me what are and are not covered by my insurance. Dr. Ly tells me everything that I would and would not love to hear but I already know it and how to proceed with her referral, which I need to know. Again she is very candid, competent, thorough, and detailed in explaining all my questions (knowledgeable) in a fair-minded way, and is caring and cost conscious to the patient's benefit. Her office is equipped with state of the art technology and no nonsense professional staff. They will not charge you anything more than you have to pay needlessly. For example, they ask me if I want eye dilation (insurance covered) or flash imaging ($25), my choice is the latter, which is a more advanced preferred procedure, rather than to walk away with dilated eyes. Thank you so much, Van Vision!!

After another optometrist cancelled my appointment at the last minute I called Van Ly's office and they were able to get me in right away. Van was friendly & professional and she discussed the best options for me. I'm delighted with my new reading glasses and my first pair of driving glasses as well. Highly recommended!

Me and my daughter both see Dr. Ly. she is fantastic. She is great with kiddos and adults, she is gentle and patient. The staff at Van Vision is equally amazing. Jennifer is always friendly and treats everyone like they are a part of the Van Vision family. I totally recommend these guys to everyone. They have a great selection of frames, positive atmosphere and a warm and inviting staff.

1st appointment with this doctor for my 93yo Mom. Terrible access for handicapped individuals on street pay parking, no handicapped parking, long way to walk to get in the office. Got there 20 minutes early to do paperwork. 7 pages or more that you have to do on a PC. After I got it filled out the receptionist made copies of her insurance info and then informed us that we had to be rescheduled because I took to long to fill out the paperwork. I only had 7minutes to get it all done but it took much longer than that in spite of me doing it as fast as I could, it was extremely difficult and the most I've ever had to fill out ever. They never gave an option to take her on back and get started. I pleaded with the receptionist to let her get seen because it was such a struggle even to get her there, she's 93, and I had driven from Montesano (50miles away) just to bring her. They didn't care. We will never go back.

I have to comment on my experience here! Jennifer at Van Vision is seriously amazing. She is so helpful, kind and thorough! I had no idea what I was doing, I had no idea what questions to ask or anything... She just took charge and walked me through the whole process and I left so pleased with my whole apt.! I really was impressed with her customer service! Thanks for your help Jennifer!

Dr. Ly and her staff are great! They provide excellent eye examinations and advice, the proper lens prescription and frames for the eyewear you choose. It is easy and convenient to make an appointment with Dr. Ly. Dr. Ly provides a running commentary during the examination which keep the patient well informed and knowing what to expect.

Update 2018: Dr. Ly tried an unconventional method that turned out to be a great success for me. Having a brain tumor removed in 1988 left me with a partial facial paralysis including the right eye. After 30 years of wearing a shield nightly, she fitted me with a contact lens that was worn 24 hours a day to protect the eye from lashes that were poking in and kept the eye from drying out. Amazing! A completely satisfied client, I would highly recommend Dr. Ly. I started in 2015: I first saw Dr. Ly when she used to come to Chehalis to the Sears Optical Department. They have since decided to close the department. I enjoyed Dr,Ly's professional expertise and followed her to the Olympia clinic even though it is quite a distance for me to drive. She has always managed to see me, sometimes at the last minute, and is very thorough with her exams. I realy appreciate her licensed optician, Jennifer, a very knowlegeable individual.

Dr Ly is the best eye doctor I've ever had, through 50 years. My prescription is perfect (at last) and she found issues to watch all the while educating me about them.
