I have been a patient for 14 years and have been to both locations, Eyes on Sammamish and Redmond Ridge Eyecare. The care I received at both locations, from the front desk, techs and doctors, was exceptional! Like many small businesses, they did have some staff shortages several months ago and have been in the process of hiring and training multiple new staff members. They now have a solid staff of amazing employees and 3 highly talented, caring doctors. They also have a huge selection of glasses and sunglasses for all ages including Gucci, Woow, gx, Maui Jim, OGI, Etnia Barcelona, Kate Spade, 141, OVVO, Silhouette, Ray-Ban and many more. They also carry contact lenes from Acuvue, Baush & Lomb, Cooper Vision and Ortho-K lenses. I highly recommend both family, owned businesses!

I had an eye appt scheduled for my kid with the Redmond location. The initial goal was to get her lenses but I expressed an interest in getting an evaluation done for myopia controlled contact lenses after initial appt was set up. Someone was supposed to call me to explain the sequence of evaluations, how the pricing/billing would work etc. Even after my repeated emails and phone calls (4) to procure this info, I have zero clarity on this. Communication from their side is severely lacking. They are apparently short staffed but that isn't an excuse for not providing the needed info to a customer in a timely manner to make decisions. Another thing is that they don't bill secondary insurance. So if you need multiple evaluations, then you're on your own to do the claims. These initial interactions didn't give me much confidence in their ability to prioritise the customer needs and do things in a timely manner. I ended up cancelling the appt.

Today was my first visit to Eyes on Sammamish, and I had a wonderful experience. Dr. Michel and Alejandra (assistant) both provide exceptional care attention. Dr. Michel put all my concerns to rest with her thorough explanation of my eyes health, while Alejandra offered great support throughout my appointment, even helping me choose the perfect frames for my glasses. I highly recommend this place.

We have been using this facility to get our prescription eyewear for the past several years and we have had a great experience in every single visit. Mindy, the lead optician, provides us with as much time and guidance as we need, regardless of how busy the facility might be and regardless of whether the visit is about buying a new pair of glasses or dealing with warranty issues.
Mindy demonstrates great empathy in working with children. In my last visit, we were nearing the closing hours of the facility. My child had already picked up 3 choices and all that she had to do was to just help him select one of those. But she knew that while those choices were all about aesthetics (color, shape), they were not as functional (weight, nose pad comfort). She kept searching and working with my child until she found a frame that not only had the same aesthetics but was also functional for our needs. Mindy rocks!
