For two years, I put off having cataract surgery. That delay, due mainly to fear, was a mistake. The entire process was extremely easy, and my vision is now the best it has been since I was a child. I chose monofocal lenses with the laser assisted surgery; the latter allowed Dr Nash to correct my mild astigmatism and I now only need reading glasses, as my distance vision is excellent. I continue to be amazed at how brightly colorful everything looks now.

Dr. Nash performed cataract surgery on both my eyes early November 2024. I had decided to go with the light adjustable lens and I am glad I made that choice, as I was very nearsighted and had worn contacts lens for more than 50 years. I had multiple laser treatments on both eyes over a period of many months to fine tune my vision. Often, it was 4-6+ weeks between treatments and Dr. Nash always let me direct the timing of my treatments. This was because I wanted to give myself time to visually adjust to each level of treatment. Also, I had to decide after each laser treatment whether I was satisfied with my reading and distance vision. Dr. Nash guided me through the process, answered all my questions and I never felt pressured. I waited a long time to lock in and finalize the process as I needed psychologically to be comfortable with my decision. Hello! I recently underwent cataract surgery with Dr Shawn Nash. I was wearing contact lenses with one eye set for distance and one for reading. I am 62 and I started to really struggle with reading, night driving, working on my laptop and many arts and crafts activities that I enjoy. I was wearing my contacts and using readers to see my laptop and cell phone so I decided to move forward with cataract surgery. I am so happy that I made this decision! I now have had both eyes done with one lens for distance and one for reading. The surgery was quick, painless and my recovery time was 24 hours, though each day my vision is still improving. I am one week out of surgery in one eye and two weeks out on the other. No glasses! No contacts! I'm back to enjoying reading, crafts and all of the things that I love to do without the struggle. Dr. Nash recently performed cataract surgery and goniotomy on both eyes. At the age of 84, I recovered quickly, with the new "Toric" lens for my left eye fully functional on day 1 after surgery, while my right eye took a couple of weeks to clear up. Goniotomy to relieve eye pressure was also successful, with pressures reduced from about 18 to 14, suggesting I may be able to eliminate one or both of my two applications of eye drops daily for glaucoma. Eye Associates North West's surgery center is amazingly efficient, with a brief period for preparation and anesthesia (drugs to reduce anxiety and any pain) before the 20 minutes per eye necessary for the two procedures, cataract surgery, then goniotomy (opening eye drains). I was discharged within about 90 minutes in total. The staff were pleasant, informative, and caring, with Dr. Nash himself having a laudable "bedside manner" with patients.

Excellent customer service, very pleased with communication, follow-up, and most of all with the outcome of my cataract surgeries. Dr. Nash and the team were very skilled and flexible with my scheduling needs. Great care and highly recommended.

Dr. Nash recommended the Clareon PanOptix Pro lens for my non-dominant eye and the RXSight LAL+ lens for my dominant eye. The RXSight lens give some opportunities to tweak the vision in that lens, and it costs several hundred dollars more than the next best lens option. I also had a posterior capsulotomy performed on my dominant eye after the surgery to remove some scarring and to improve the outcome of the RXSight lens. I like the outcome and enjoy the improved vision, Dr. Nash and the clinic are good to work with. Time will tell if the extra cost for the RXSight lens plus the posterior capsulotomy were worth the money, extra appointments, and the three months from the first cataract surgery to the final lock in for the RXSight lens.

Recently saw Dr. Nash for a sudden onset of eye irritation/inflammation. Dr. Nash was very professional and knowledgeable; immediately knew what the problem was and prescribed mild steroid eye drops to resolve the issue. He is also a very nice and pleasant person! Very pleased!
