Continuing on what Margaret said in the last review. I had the same experience. I came in from out of town with an infection that 3 other doctors had seen and been unable to cure. I was quite nervous. So grateful to whomever cancelled their appointment that morning that allowed me to squeeze in. Not only was Dr. Hughes extremely knowledgeable, he was also very reassuring. Going the extra mile, his assistant Kiri had me sending in pictures and checking in for the next few days to work with the doctor to tailor the treatment. I really can't say enough about the people in this practice, from the front office who kindly got me in the door, to the assistants, and to the doctor, it was an excellent experience at every turn. THANK YOU!!!!!

I'd been receiving eye care from the Polyclinic, which is fine. However, I started developing fairly intense eye pain and couldn't get anyone to squeeze me in at the Polyclinic or even talk to me about the issue I was having. I found Seattle Eye Care online and they were willing to squeeze me in even though I wasn't their patient. I was so relieved and grateful. It was refreshing to have a small-practice experience that didn't feel like the factory assembly line at the Polyclinic. Dr. Hughes had a great bedside manner and I felt well taken care of. I'm thinking about switching all my eye care to his practice. BTW, he's got an undergrad degree from Harvard UW MD, and is board certified.

We were referred to him following a disastrous experience at an eye center after cataract surgery. He sees my husband for loss of vision and me for glaucoma. Amazing difference in care. Very congenial, staff very helpful, all professionals, and knowledgeable . Dr. Hughes is seeing a lot of our referrals.

We met Dr Hughes when my husband suffered a chemical burn in his eye and Dr Hughes came in on a weekend! After two ER visits with failed results Dr Hughes knew what to do. So grateful. He now treats us both and is excellent. We drive 200 miles for these appointments.

I don't know if I have ever been treated more kindly and with more caring for my wife when making a call at 3:00 pm on a Friday and they made it happen while showing nothing but concern for the patient-I had called our primary caregiver which is now been bought by United Healthcare and it was not even close to the treatment or care giving I experienced on the phone and my wife getting treatment. I honestly had come to the conclusion that since many of these practices and practitioners are getting bought out this type of was non existent -Five Star approach thank you so much.

I'm beyond thrilled with my Lasik results, thanks to Dr. Hughes! My pre ops were thorough and all of my many questions were answered. I felt confident going into surgery. Just as we began, my anxiety hit the roof, but Dr. Hughes and his tech Terri calmed me down and we were able to complete the surgery with no issue. I am SO HAPPY I hung in there. I was 20/1000 before (yes, you read that right!) and now my vision is nearly perfect. I highly recommend Dr. Hughes for all things eyes, especially Lasik!

This cliinic is always late. I scheduled an 8am exam so that there wouild be no reason for them to be late - but they were. I was not called back till 8:12, the assistant said it takes time toi warm up the equipment. I asked for a new eye patch he laughed at me. by the time he got back to me as i was walking out the door (I had had enough) I could never recommend this clinic. I have been going there for about 10 years too long. The assistant was hardly dressed and very unprofessional - Bad customer service

I never want Dr. Hughes to retire; he is personable and to the point. I highly recommend him to others and many have switched to him or his colleague.
