Hour Eyes Optical

I had some loose frames that I wasn't able to fix on my own, and these guys fixed it for me free of charge! Emerald was professional, knowledgeable, and had me out the door in 10 minutes, all for free! Amazing service!

My family has just received the 4th pair of prescription eyeglasses from Hour Eyes Optical. Emerald and Ida were knowledgeable and patient to help us get the best eyeglasses we ever had. We could not be happier! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

In the fall I had a vision emergency where I couldn't see out of part of my eye. The type of vision issue was listed on Hour Eye's website that they could treat and save me a visit to the ER. Sounded good on paper, so I stopped here to get my eye checked out. While with the assistant I was told that the issue I was describing was "just something everyone gets" and that I must've read something on Google that made me feel like my symptoms were exaggerated. Already feeling kinda insecure about the way my symptoms were dismissed, I saw Dr. Pham who barely acknowledged my eye symptoms and proceeded to try and upsell me new glasses by changing my prescription slightly. Telling me "well it's been almost a year and prescriptions can change." I came in for an eye emergency and was solicited. I will not be returning here.

Excellent service. I just picked up my first pair of glasses from Hour Eyes. During each visit to the store, the staff was friendly, helpful, informative, and patient.

I had a really great experience at Hour Eyes. I hadn't been to an optometrist since I was 12! It was time. And they took great care of me and my eyes. They also have a lot of cute options for frames. Will be going again!

I have never written a bad review, but the staff at this facility were so outright disrespectful and the service was deserving of 1 star. I came in at 9 for my appointment and ended up waiting 15 minutes for Dr. Pham who arrived late. My eye appointment was then very rushed, I had no opportunity to ask any questions and my concerns were brushed off and not adequately addressed. I then went to pay and the receptionist Ida was annoyed that I had more questions saying "well why didn't you ask the doctor during your appointment." When I expressed it was rushed, she said "well we are busy today and you'll just have to wait then, she has another client." I decided to just pay and leave and when my health care card did not work in their scanner, Ida threw the card across the counter saying I needed to make sure it worked before coming to an appointment and that I needed to use another card and "figure it out" with my insurance later. I work in healthcare. I know how busy and stressful it can be, but this is probably the worst experience I've ever had in a customer service based establishment. Please avoid this facility if possible.

Came in because the nose pad on my glasses fell off and they not only replaced the missing pad but also replaced the other old one and cleaned my lenses. I feel like I'm wearing a brand new pair, thank you Alia! (Sorry if I misspelled your name)

Hour Eyes Optical is one of the preferred providers in my VSP network. Despite seeing quite a few one star reviews on Google, I decided to be open minded and give it a try. So here is my experience: Getting my prescription updated there felt a bit rushed. Dr. Pham just did the basic by throwing out data and jargons, without bothering to explain anything. I also didn't feel comfortable asking follow-up questions, as I felt Dr. Pham really just wanted this appointment to be over with. When I had my appointment at Capitol Hill Vision, Dr. Brett Llewellyn went the extra distance to explain my eye health and offer eye health tips. Honestly, I would go back to Dr. Brett Llewellyn for my next appointment and would be glad to pay the extra co-pay fee. With that said, the front desk staff was friendly. The main goal of my visit was to get my prescription updated, and it was fulfilled. Hence, I am giving two stars.
