Dr.Mayemura is phenomenal. I've had glasses since age 4 and dealt with headaches and doctors not understanding my eyes for most of my life. Dr.Mayemura is the first optometrist to understand and explain why my vision is the way it is, and to recommended a solution that has been working great for over a year. I highly recommend him!

Did an amazing job repairing my eyeglasses! I had bought a pair from my home country (outside of the US). The staff at the store were able to easily repair them when the hinges became unscrewed super fast and easily! They were the third store I approached for help (other two didn't have the parts or wanted to ship out for repairs) and had no problems.

Dr. Mayemura practices mainly from an office in Kirkland, so it took a month to get an appointment with him. Well worth the wait! As usual, Michael the optician was a big help in finding a frame that fits my small face, and in specifying the reading area in my progressive lenses. I highly recommend this place.

I was disappointed with my experience here. When I paid for glasses and contacts, I wasn't given a detailed bill. At pickup, I requested one and only then discovered I had been charged for a glasses warranty that I never asked for. When I questioned it, I was told they could refund me, but that I'd be their "first client ever" to request this--something that felt dismissive and belittling.
Regardless of the amount ($45 in this case), adding charges without a customer's consent is unacceptable. Not everyone can afford unexpected fees, and even if they can, it's the principle: transparency and respect matter.
I hope this practice improves how they communicate charges and treats customers with the professionalism and care they deserve.

5th time was not a charm. I stopped by twice during regular hours and they were closed and the info wasn't updated online, i stopped in for an exam and was told to get an appointment even though it was mid-day and no-one around, i came in for the appointment and it was cancelled, i came in for the new appointment a bit late and they cancelled again. Appointments were weeks and weeks out at every occasion. Unless you only deal with the elderly retired folk, I'm not sure how this business model functions?
The facts are people work, life isn't perfect. The staff was nice enough, but i don't want nice staff, i want a pair of glasses. Everything between me and a new pair of glasses is conjecture. I was trying to support a local business. Thank you for wasting my time.

Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful and I felt welcomed. However, actually receiving my glasses has been a hassle.
My glasses came in late from the lab the first time. (BTW, It takes me 4 hours round trip to get to the clinic and back home.) When I got to the clinic it turned out my new glasses had a distortion in one of the lenses. 4 hours of my day wasted. So they ordered new ones from the lab for me. TWO WEEKS LATER I still haven't heard anything back so I give them a call. It turns out that the lab never started working on my replacement glasses.
I know this is the lab's fault and not the clinic, but I can't in good conscience recommend this place to people. This has been a complete and total mess and waste of my time. I hope the lab can manage to make my glasses correctly and get them to the clinic before my prescription changes again.
