Wonderful service! Dr. Hovander is extremely knowledgeable. He really takes his time to do a thorough exam. It's one of the best optometrist I've ever had. Same goes with Richard, for contact lenses. He's wonderful as well! Bonus: don't get thrown off by the more vintage look of the office, it's a great hour trip to the 80's with top-notch equipment!

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Hovander for over 10 years. We greatly appreciate his skills, professionalism, and manner in which he communicates with us. We have complete confidence in him and his exams. He has also been available for instances where we have had eye problems, other than lens prescriptions, and he has been concerned and helpful and re-assuring in his estimate of the situation. We will continue going to him as long as we can.

I have seen Dr. Mark Hovander, OD for many years, I have seen many optometrists over the years because I am 57 year old. I would say he is by far the best optometrist I ever have. He is very professional, thorough with every of his procedures and willing to spend time to listen to my concerns and explain to me any medical condition I might have. His staff is friendly. I definitely would recommend him to anybody that is looking for a good optometrist.

I have been seeing Dr, Hovander for my eye health now for just a few years. It's only in the last 2 or 3 years that I have become truly dependent on glasses, and compared to people who grew up with them, I feel like a real beginner. Through it all, Dr. Hovander has been patient and clear in explaining the various issues we face as age takes its inevitable toll. In a way I look forward to my visits as I seem to learn something new each time, as well as come away with the best solution to my general need to see, as well as specific solutions to my needs for the very specific lighting and sight distances, both near and far that I need to function in the airplane cockpit.
