TL/DR; Kind, knowledgeable people who really helped my vision after a concussion + my kid's vision (eye turning & trouble reading). After a concussion, my vision was all messed up. Reading was painful and difficult, and I couldn't do screens for very long. Forget reading on my phone. Turns out that my brain had stopped using my peripheral vision and my focusing system was messed up, too. It took a year and a half of weekly therapy, but now I'm fully recovered and back to working on screens (I'm an author) as long as I want in a day. My kid was having trouble / dislike of reading, and Dr. Dok recommended we get them checked out - apparently vision problems can give dyslexia-like symptoms. My kid is super far-sighted and had eye-turning problems whenever they didn't wear their glasses. Now, after therapy, their eyes don't turn in even when their glasses are off (so no more seeing double), and reading is getting better. I'll admit, getting a 9-year-old to do daily therapy & the more challenging activities during weekly in-person therapy was a struggle, but I think it was worth it! Dr. Dok & Dr. Shen are both excellent, great at explaining what's wrong and setting up a therapy progression to get better. (They measure *so much more* than a regular optometrist!) They're also up-front about how long to expect recovery to take, and their estimates were quite good. The therapists are compassionate while also keeping you on track :) I've worked with both Jordan and Leslie. They're great. If you're considering vision therapy, this is 100% the place to go!

I am not a habitual poster of anything on the internet, but when I feel compelled, I do. I am very upset with this business. I feel like it was a money grab of a $600 evaluation over 2 days (they do not bill to insurance) out of my pocket and then they do not have enough Therapists to take care of their clientele after the evaluation is done. My child was given a new prescription, but can't even use it until the therapy is in progress. To get the therapy scheduled they are 6-9 months out for a 12 month program. I can't even use this information at another facility. Very upsetting for my child and for my family. This business should be more upfront about what they are capable of doing. A 1 star is generous.

We've been so happy with our experience at Seattle Vision Therapy. My daughter, 8, was really having trouble getting started with reading. So much frustration and wanted to write even less than she wanted to read. After about 4 months of weekly vision therapy, something clicked, and she started picking up words and phrases in a way I had expected her to do when she was 5 or 6. Things improved as she continued, and she is reading at a much higher level now. As an added bonus, her car sickness started getting better after about 2 months of therapy. We love the staff who always greet us with a smile and treat us like we're family. Dr. Dok is kind, professional, and calm. My daughter is neurodivergent, and Jordan worked so well with her. They had a great time together, and I appreciated the flexibility and understanding offered. Highly recommend!

I've had an amazing experience at SVT, I can't believe how much I have gotten back with their help. A year ago, my vision was so unstable that I couldn't read music. Now I'm regularly performing! The constant headaches are gone, the need to reread everything because I couldn't focus in a straight line is a thing of the past. I highly recommend this clinic. They're rockstars! I don't know where I would be without them!

Our experience with Seattle Vision Therapy has been truly incredible. We tried other vision therapy services, and they didn't even come close to comparing. Our son made incredible progress in this program. Highly recommend!
