Vision Plus of Ballard

I've been struggling with dry eye for 3 years. The clinic here told me to do basic over the counter treatment, which didn't relieve my symptoms. I asked more than once for other options with no help. I went to a different eye clinic who actually prescribed some drops to help me get relief. The other place also recommended some more gentle eye cleansing solution. After years of dealing with this condition, it has finally subsided. This place was not helpful in my recovery. I also had a problem with a new prescription. I could tell right away things were off and said so, but they tried to tell me it was normal adjustment distortion. I've been wearing glasses for 30 years and knew right away it was not normal. After a week of "trying to adjust" I had to forcibly tell them the glasses were unwearable and giving me eye strain before they would bother checking the prescription and fit. It was the fit. The staff is very nice, and I'm sorry to leave, but I just have not had good experiences here. It feels like they don't believe what I tell them, whether that be a medical condition or how new glasses feel.

Had such a pleasant experience from the moment I entered the door! I was beyond ecstatic when, during the eye exam, the doctor took the time to address a comment I made about my dry eyes. He took the time to examine my eyelids, educated me on what was going on, and offered me a home remedy. There was no pressure or attempts to upsell on anything. I was informed what my options were, and respected for the decisions I made!

Went in for service because this was the only eye doctor that took my insurance at the time. Their glasses hurt my eyes to wear, and came with blue light filtering when I specifically requested that they shouldn't (they at least resolved this last issue for me) To add insult to injury, I paid for all the services while in the office and then received a bill in the mail six months later claiming I didn't and demanding I pay them again. This was one of the best experiences I have had seeing an optometrist. From the friendliness of the person who made my appointment (they showed genuine concern for my problem, was empathetic and understood the urgency) to Dr. Pyle providing a lot of education on my eye issues ( I have never had an eye doctor spend that much time going over symptoms, potential causes/triggers etc..) this was a great experience and any time I need something for my eyes I will be coming to Vision Plus of Ballard!

Got some prescription glasses here over 5 years ago. I live in another part of the country now, and I'm trying to get some updated glasses, but it's not the same. The new ones aren't what I expect or need. So I called them up after all this time and had a chat over the phone about my specific glasses, what lenses they were, what I needed, etc. So helpful, thank you!

We had a great experience with Vision Plus. I took my daughter there to get an updated prescription for glasses, and I was impressed with how the visit went. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The doctor was great and put my daughter at ease. Tim had checked our insurance benefits ahead of the visit and we were able to pick out new frames and get everything handled quickly and with a minimum of out-of-pocket expense. I had an urgent matter and needed to see an eye doctor right away. I called several places explaining the urgency and the extreme pain I was experiencing and this was the only clinic that understood my extreme discomfort and squeezed me in an hour later to see the optometrist. The doctor got me back right away, looked into my eye and 30 minutes later I was at my pharmacy picking up my prescription eye drop. Thank you for understanding the urgency of my extreme discomfort.

I had a good experience three years ago at my first examination at Vision Plus. Doctor Pyle bought the practice in the intervening years and my second visit confirms service has only improved. Firstly, customer service is obviously a priority here. I got an appointment in less than a week and the administrative staff did their homework thoroughly on my insurance benefits. It's really a pleasure to receive such professional attention. Secondly, I thought the eye examination was administered with expertise, excellent technology, and good personal skills. I really liked the retinal photographic instrument, which makes the dilation procedure unnecessary. Thirdly, I had no problem finding some premium titanium frames with a two year warranty. They have an extensive selection of frames to choose from. I'm a person who almost always takes online reviews into account, especially negative ones, and am happy to recommend Vision Plus. I didn't bother researching pricing relative to other providers, I'm willing to pay a premium for an outstanding experience.
