6th Ave Spectacles

A coworker on Vashon Island recommended 6th Ave Spectacles to me quite some time ago, and I needed new glasses before the end of the calendar year so finally bit the bullet and made my appt (after decades of going into Seattle). First of all, what a cute neighborhood and darling eyewear shop (SO many really cool frames, from the subdued to the outrageous, in all the best ways). Adorable shop cat, Faye, and her human, shop owner Angela, made me feel welcomed right away. She spent over an hour with me trying on frames, talking about what I've liked (and hated) about the glasses I currently wore, and what I was hoping to find for my eyewear experience going forward. She was super thorough, patient, and really knew her stock, and how to fit the right frames to my taste and face. She listened, she was open and friendly, and honest about what was working and what wasn't. I even stepped out of my comfort zone and tried on a pair of frames I (probably) would never have considered and those ended up being the frames I got! Came back a week later to pick up my two new sets of frames (one for all day/every day, with tinted lenses when going out into the sun, and one for work/computer). My kiddo came with me and immediately loved the shop as well, and wants to get HIS next set of glasses there too. Just an overall stellar experience, and I can't wait to go back in Nov for the vendor trunk show for a 3rd pair of something fun and funky. Thank you Angela, and 6th Ave Spectacles, for making this middle aged old lady feel seen and heard. You just got a customer for life!

What a great experience with a great team! Between the doc and the owner I was well cared for, questions answered, didn't feel rushed or pressured to make a purchase and amazing frame prices! I bought an everyday pair and will be back for the next big sale for new funky frames!

This is a great place. Angela is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and her work is top quality. My high end sunglasses had been abused over the years and I thought I might have to replace them. She made them look and fit like they were brand new, saving me time and money! Amazing optical store with a fun & energetic optician. I love the diverse selection of frames in different colors and shapes. I purchased a French-Canadian frame from Faniel, I get compliments on them. Angela hosts quarterly Frame Shows where vendors bring in the latest & greatest too. You will be referring people here when you wear your glasses.

Angela is amazing. Simple and true. I can't say enough to communicate how special Angel and her fun and funky shop are. A few years ago I found 6th Ave Spectacles when I needed new glasses and felt like I found the gold at the end of the rainbow. Angela spoke with me over the phone for 15 minutes about what I was looking for before I even came into her beautiful unique inspiring shop. Her collection is amazing, her knowledge is beyond anything I've ever encountered in my 40+ years of wearing glasses. I love my frames and recieve so many compliments from friends, family and strangers alike. I recently realized I had a few scratches in my lenses and texted Angela to see what my options were abs she immediately invited me to drop them off and she sent them to the lab and a few days later texted to say they are in! I just picked them up and they are perfect! I'm so grateful I found 6th Ave Spectacles and Angela is my hero!

I made an appointment, it was easy. I met Angela at her shop. It is very nice and clean. I looked at a lot of glasses and found the perfect pair. Angela was very helpful and made some measurements and had me set up in no time. I love my new glasses, and at a great price too.
