Eye MDs of Puget Sound

First time patient today, and my expectations were succeeded. My entire visit- I felt listened to and cared for to the highest extent. Dr. Lindsay is very kind and knowledgeable. I am grateful to have found this clinic and care team.

Unprofessional and another doctor not taking women seriously. He waited until the end of my appointment to tell me he can't test me for what my doctor sent the referral for in the first place. I was told I'm too young to need reading glasses but too old to be diagnosed with a different vision disorder because it's "usually" diagnosed in childhood. He was acknowledging that there is something wrong but then said I'm fine. My primary doctor believes I have a vision problem (the whole point of the referral) but because i didn't have access for proper exams as a kid, I was dismissed. I told him I avoid driving because my eyes can't focus, that I wear prescription reading glasses, prescription sunglasses I wear in stores, and prescription polarized sunglasses, because I'm extremely light sensitive. After I explained my symptoms in more detail, he agreed to write me a referral to a pediatrician. When the staff called to schedule my appointment they confirmed they were testing for what the referral said and my intake form had it written clearly on the top of the first page. During the appointment he suggested I try eye drops and offered to give me a different eye prescriptions, despite me telling him I'm already being treated for dry eyes and just got a new eye prescription three months ago.

I did a comprehensive eye exam with them. Service was okay, nothing special. But the bill was so big, about $300. Very expensive for this kind of check. I went to another eye clinic before, they only charged around $50. Not visiting this place again.

Zero star! Did comprehensive eye examination with them. The service was okay, just like any random place. Bill come out like horror movie jump scare. So expensive I see tears instead of vision! They also charge extra if you blink past due date. Nope, not go there again.

This practice is very professional. I've had an appointment with each of the doctors there, and all of them are wonderful! My last appointment was with Dr. Castillo and he is very warming and knows how to make people feel comfortable. The technicians are all very friendly and make the experience great. Highly recommend this place! I like that they give us enough time after check in to fill out paperwork, it makes me feel less rushed!

The day before my first visit to EyeMDs of Puget Sound, I was talking with my dentist and he enthusiastically assured me that EyeMDs of Puget Sound was the best ophthalmology group in the area. That was encouraging to hear from another medical professional! The next morning at EyeMDs (at their Tacoma office), I was seen by Dr. Noel Castillo. He was very professional but also personable, and judging from the certificates and diplomas on the wall above his work station, very competent as well. During the exam, he seemed genuinely interested in me and my eye health; I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Castillo will be my eye doctor from now on, and my wife has an appointment with him in a couple weeks.

TBH I would give EYE MDS OF PUGET SOUND all the stars in the sky if I could. Before my 2 eye surgeries my vision was blurry, I couldn't see at night so I couldn't drive at night anymore. I couldn't sew easily or do the crafts I like to do and I couldn't read easily because my eyesight was blocked from cataracts and that also caused headaches. To have my vision given back to me is one of those things that transcends a mere thank you or a 5 star google review, it's really a gift from God working through Dr Castillo. He's an exemplary surgeon and a genuine good person. He really knows his craft and it's important to him to help others. His entire office staff is super pleasant, professional and kind. They are busy but there's a reason for that , they are in demand and are very careful with your eyes. They don't rush. I am 100% happy with them and you will be too, I promise!

VERY EXPENSIVE!!! This was the most that I had ever paid for a pair of glasses in my life!! Over $800!!! This did not even include my eye exam. I paid for everything while I was there out of my own pocket. Now I get a bill for over $250 more dollars!!!! That was after I had already paid over $200 for the eye exam. Dr didn't even do eye exam, it was a technician. I spoke with the dr maybe 5 minutes. Whole visit cost me over $1200 for one visit!!!! Go at your own expense and peril!!!
