Family Vision Center of Tacoma (Endeavor Eye Center): Dr. Nathan Gorham OD

My experience with Dr. Gorham was excellent but the office staff was less than desirable. I was a patient who had two or three exams with this office and purchased contacts through their office. When my contacts arrived I did not receive a call that they had arrived and could be picked up. I picked up my contacts in mid May and cleared my balance with them at that time. Now mid September I get a bill with a letter attached to the bill which states that if I don't call them immediately, my account would be charged an additional 5% and then turned over to collections. Problem is that I did not ever receive any previous bills to the September bill. I went into the office and and verified all my information was correct and then the front desk staff just started to make excuses and blaming me for not paying my balance. I attempted to speak with them in a civil manner but was just met with more blaming and excuses of "well that's just the way we do things". I DO NOT recommend this office simply because of the office staff! Dr. Gorham is great but because of the attitude of the office staff, they have lost a patient and customer.

Dr. Nathan Gorham is an excellent doctor, however his staff is less than desirable. Receptionist is rude and aggressive, and billing is done incorrectly while she also charges various amounts not billed to insurance.

I had an excellent experience with this office and staff. Dr. Gorham is not only knowledgeable about corrective lenses, but is also quite aware of ocular nutrition. He has helped me to see better in general, even eliminating a long time stigmatism that made night driving less than ideal. Thank you Dr. Gorham and thank you to the wonderful staff. Brenda, Sarah, and Dr Gorham are all wonderful. I have had a lot of eye doctors since I first got glasses (eight or nine, I think) and I've never had better service anywhere. In Re: to the one-star review - I don't know what your experience was... I have noticed that the other doctor's staff is not nearly as good at Dr Gorham's.

I give up. I've been going here for years, and appreciated the careful, attentive, thorough exams. But I always have to wait a *long* time to be seen, even with appointments made a year in advance. Today I arrived on time and waited for 30 minutes. No one gave me a time estimate for the wait, and I could hear the Dr. in the midst of a leisurely appointment. I'm done. I'm going someplace that won't casually waste my time.

I have been coming to this optomitrist for years with no problems. I had one appointment i canceled and one other i forgot. I called to make another appointment and came there early. Unfortunately when i got there i was told my name was erased and not in the appointment book because i was told because i missed my last 2 appointments that i might not be here. Then im told that they can get me in later than my scheduled appointment like they are doing a favor for me????!!!! I asked why they would schedule me if they are just going to erase my name and have me show up then tell me i have to wait longer????!!! They had no answer but to tell me sorry you will have to wait until 11:30 instead of my scheduled 11:00 appointment. Bad receptionists and bad judgement on those who hired them. Even though i live farther away i been sticking with these opticians for years. Not anymore. Plenty of other providers who might treat a patient much better around.

Great office. Good doctors. Rude front desk. I was there as a referral from the VA. I was told very rudely by the older front desk lady that if my VA referral didnt go through that she would send me a bill. Now I understand paying for services, but there was no reason for her to snap at me in regards to my VA referal that she didnt understand. I wont be returning unless ultimately necessary.

Dr. Gorham is kind, patient and knowledgeable; I trust him completely. The office staff is always friendly and helpful.Highly recommend/1
